And you lost me at Nascar ;)

Top Speed is wrong, fan attendance is wrong, team budgets are guesstimates, pitstops is wrong.

    Useless chart really.

Since when is there a starter button on the steering wheel!?......

Not very impressed, but I guess if you're a NASCAR noob seeing it for the first time it's a primer. At least they tried I guess.

    Cheers,

Please, what exactly did you see that was truly wrong? Looked like decent estimates in all catagories. And there are at least 50 drivers that show up to a NASCAR superspeedway event, only 43 qualify, the rest go home.

As for the steering wheel, I found this interesting James Allen interview: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58Zkbbfygjw[/ame]

The only real difference we need to know is
the time it takes a NASCAR tractor to accerate
from a standing start to second gear, an F-1 car
accerates from zero to 100MPH and back to
    zero again.

$1.5M to build a CoT? Seems inflated unless they're
figuring in rebuild costs and each rebuilt car having
to go through NASCAR's re-certification process at
their $1+B technical center in Charlotte each time.
    Then, maybe.

Why do they say Red Bull is a constructor? Isn't it a sponsorship of the former Renault team?

Red Bull is the constructor, just as Mercedes is a constructor, and not simply a sponsor of the former Honda team.

Nope, they're a (too damn successful!) constructor. And it was never Renault; Started out in the mid 90's as Stewart GP. Sold to Ford and became Jaguar. Ford apparently sold the whole mess for $1 to Red Bull with a commitment to invest serious money over the next few years IIRC.

It may be named for the sponsor, but their factory is in Milton Keynes, England, even though they race under an Austrian license.

    Cheers,
    Ian
