Does anyone have more info on this SE? This picture was taken during a Lamborghini gathering at circuit Dijon-Prenois somewhere between 95-97

It was built for a young man (18 at the time) from the Middle East who kept it in London whilst he was at school. Now its back in Bahrain.

I have some London sighting images somewhere I will have to dig up, when it was UK-registered 'TOF 1 E'. Allegedly it has 600 bhp.

FWIW I saw this car being built at Sant Agata.

Entirely possible. 150/150 has multiple sightings in Bahrain with a collector who has a Diablo GT and a number of other Lamborghinis. Are you suggesting its back in the UK??

Last week I was in London with Mrs Sackey and we were privileged to see the famed Lamborghini Diablo Jota R, complete with 400 kph speedo at Bob Forstner's place on Park Lane.

This is a special car in metallic yellow built on RHD for a South African with high hp engine.

That is a big IF :)

I'm not sure 20 years will be the impetus though. I think as with all classics, it comes down to desirability for the model and condition & provenance of individual cars.

Yes Joe you are correct, but consider that with the current Italian laws regarding car property taxes and insurance, high horsepower cars are taxed according to KW/age - With this new formula a Diablo must pay in excess of 2,500 Euro per year (whether you drive it or not) - but once it turns 20 yrs old the tax goes down to 25 Euro and a year's insurance is 95 Euro. No driving restrictions.

Saw this SE30 Jota Edition yesterday, #04/150, and the owner said one of two Jota Editions in the U.S.

Correct, belongs, or did to Christian. No USA SE30 left the factory as a JOTA. His as well as the other 1 of 2, which I owned for a while were built by Steve in Gilroy,Ca. Both are built with correct factory OEM JOTA kits. I sold mine to a person on the east coast about two years ago.

The gentleman who owns the car has had it for a fair number of years now and he exercises it regularly, which keeps it running well.

In fact his car likely runs much better that the Jotas in Europe that were factory assembled, and I know this because 2 clients I have in Eu actually had the Jota components removed for drivability's sake. The ones that still have the system intact have required a fair amount of fettling, all for some reason unknown to me.
