This one 1335GT paid the price of having been twice modified and still having the front shape not fully correct , see pictures, and too me the rear fenders are too straight: normally they bend slightly more down on the rear end , here seem almost a straight line. If I were the new owner, at this attractive price, I would have the car fully restored with more attractive colors, and the shape checked to be sure they are correct.

Congrats to them not only for selling the cars but for finding them ..and buying them. Although clearly money talks and if you are offering cash at close to market price you may buy a car that a seller will be hesitant to bring to auction or sell himself and go thought the painfully sell process.
In a market where it seem everyone is looking for a SWB selling 2 is less amazing than buying 2 at close to market to be able to resell them quickly at new market benchmark or slightly above. Well done and we shall see if it last.

DK Engineering seem to have restored many of them so they must know where to find them. David, James, if you're reading this, and you're looking for a good salesman, you know where to find me.

As they had to pay for the cars they sold they will have to repeat the exercise several time to afford both at the speed real estate is moving in both regions!

Interesting Financial Times review of TdF 0763GT that was for sale at DK Engineering and 458. Don't forget to click on the video near the bottom.

This TdF has open headlights with chrome bezels that are further recessed than the others with open headlights I've seen. Was this how it was made at the factory?

The position of recessed headlights is indeed original. Just for fun the front of this car through the years: 1959, 1961, 80-ies, 2002 and 2003.

Thanks, Boudewijn. Barchetta says that this is an open headlights car. Is it in fact a covered headlights car with open headlights affixed?

So over the weekend I spent a very enjoyable day at the Classic Motor Show 2012 Birmingham NEC, if you have never been it is very well worth a visit. But I suppose of more interest were the Ferrari's that attended.

I would like to highlight these two and was wondering if anyone had any more info on them. First the 250 SWB, this was a stunning car, imported into the UK a few years ago and then apparently restored for the second time. The car was silver with a red interior. The driver’s seat had a headrest

And then this even better restoration on a 250 Lusso. It was truly spectacular. The car appeared to be a very pale silvery green, but that could just have been the lighting. The interior was dark green which set the whole car off. I can usually spot a problem with most restored bodies but this one was near as damn it perfect

This is s/n 5143 GT. When for sale by RM in 2008, the car was described as having been painted in Celeste Metallizzato 106-A-16 (a very pale metallic blue) and upholstered in leather that was Verde 4275. It looked the same then as it does now.
