Hi guys, Im trying to design something exotic in the lines of the new Enzo. I plan to carve out a final design on my CNC machine and make a 1/5 scale toy after. same pic in link http://i.imgur.com/Zo3GN.jpg Image Unavailable, Please Login
It doesn't sounds impossible, even with the KERS system. Look at the size of the prototype. For finding a lower supercar you need to look for an speedster. The monocoque is very narrow. And the camouflage make it look bigger than it is. For some reason I remember the Mosler MT900S Photon, a +890 kg machine with a big american V8. That car isn't so far from the "F70" idea.
For those that missed the Autocar new Enzo spread, here is a synopsis from them. As I said, I don't believe the weight, the power or the look...... http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/new-ferrari-enzo-full-details
I know it's been thoroughly discussed in this thread already, but when can we expect some concrete information available to the public? Specifically, what date(s) can I expect to come in this thread and see pics & info of the completed car? I would like to mark this date on my calender! As the car is not finished, as far as I know, this may be impossible. Regardless, I wouldn't mind have some dates marked down in my phone
I've been wondering for a while if the F70 will feature some kind of active rearwing as seen on 599XXevo. Has this been dicussed before? This would make perfect sense - if the XX-programme is a testing field for future roadcars. Thank you for any insight.
"Active Aero".... I'd think that would be pretty standard on most any new supercar going forward. Eventually these cars are going to have wings damn near as complicated as airplanes. Full flaps with breaking... max downforce in turns.. etc. ///
Those that don't follow F1 won't have a clue and for many of us who do the association isn't positive.
I don't see how they can get a modern road car with a V12 down to 2400 lbs and still have it a comfortable 'super-car' ? Maybe a track only car getting down to that weight, but a road car? 2400 lbs is borderline UN-comfortable. That's somewhere between a lotus exige and an F40, both of which have smaller/lighter powerplants and not know for being comfortable.
For those thinking Ferrari would be concerned about recapturing bragging rights as worlds fastest car, this news should prove they will certainly not be focusing on top end. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/bugatti/veyron/61222/new-290mph-bugatti-veyron
