    I just wanted to know what did the guys of the FC think of the new GP track? Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. The car looked and sounded amazing.

    Also, I was wondering, how fast were you guys going at the ned of the back striaght?

    Congrats to Mark McKenzie 3rd and 2nd against some pro level talent and Mark has been running the 430 more this year than the 458. AWESOME!!!

    Back straight was about 166 then slowed to 65 at apex after braking. Track is super fun, but is designed to lull you in to making mistakes. Its a patience and precision track which is great to race on... its not just about who is more brave, rather who is more precise. It is very slippery still but that actually made it even more fun in a way as you had to work super hard to get the front tires to plant and turn in. The track will become a favorite of many US road racers... it just feels special to be on circuits like this. We are lucky to have it.

    Will post some pics in the next couple of days from Turn 12. It was awesome to see so many cars on the track and those big brakes glowing red at the end of the back straight.

    Unfortunately because F1 owns the rights to ALL video of the track for its weekends, FNA strictly prohibited us from having any In Car cameras at that event...same with the Porsche GT3 race..bummer:( (I can neither confirm nor deny that I might have some from a Porsche, taken before it was removed...)

    Hi Rob! Good to hear from you. Yeah I joined FChat even before I knew you, back when I had a 1977 308 GTB. After I sold that I sort of moved away from the forum until just recently when I bought a 355GTS street car again!
    Yes still working with Scott on everything we do over there from SCCA to ALMS. We went back to the Challenge at COTA and it was really fun to get back in the seat to test and set up the 458 again and to see Scott have fun with it..even if he didn't have the race he hoped for there. I also have the 360 CH that I won the National Championship in here in Atlanta now!

    great to see you active on FChat Ed and congrats on the 355 GTS. you should look at the Challenge Club Racing Series, I did it last year and it has improved from there. this year looks even better.

    It looks like fun! Its always a challenge to find time for my own racing working around the Level 5 commitments, but Sebring seems like a no brainer. I like the 13/13 rule, I dont want to hurt that particular car:) I also like different classes for each car and allowing minor adjustments for different specs.

    Can't seem to find any In Car Video from the 458 Challenge Cars out at COTA F1 during 2012 F1 Weekend on youtube? Anybody have any in car video posted other then youtube?
