fire n ice is to Alonso as Tifosi12 is to Schumacher. Pathetic and shameful, both of you.
This article is a joke. It is based solely upon unsubstantiated conjecture. The writer over simplifies recent history with a such a shallow gloss that it can never be read as anything but a singular, highly prejudicial rant. Thus why after following F1 passionately for over 35 years, I've grown to ignore the large majority of the motor sport press in England. If it's not published in Autosport, it probably never happened. If it's not discussed on Autosport, it's probably not worth discussing.
+1 Well said. I'm close to paying their subscription TBH. Just figure that between us it shouldn't be necessary, and as long as we give the link, they'll be happy.... (?) Cheers, Ian
Are you saying Ferrari would lie??? Say it ain't so.... Then again, it is the same company that claims the sticky interior parts have nothing to do with manufacturing and it's our fault for using too much Armor All.
Thats when I bailed for a few years. Perhaps the most boring time in F1 if not pro sports in general. I was an F1 fan and Ferrari fan in that order. Still havent returned to Ferrari.
So it seems that we´re going to have a heated pre-season. Great, it´ll make the wait till the start of next season shorter.
But, not all seats are confirmed as yet. We've got that to deal with. Team mate wars is always high value speculation...... Then, "leaks" of details prior to car launches in December? January? Then testing of course. It's not all bad. Cheers, Ian
I had the exact same fears about Alonso when he first joined Ferrari. I thought it would be inevitable that he would self-destruct and turn against the team. However, I am quite happy to have been proven wrong by his actions throughout this season. I thought Alonso contested this championship with spirit, dignity, and he's certainly earned a lot of respect in the way he's handled himself. Though I never thought I'd hear myself say it... Forza Alonso! All the best, Andrew.
me too. They have an article on why they think 2012 was Fred's best year, as opposed to the poop that gets published on PF1.
Dammit! I leave you clowns unattended for just one day and look what happens. It's going to be a very long winter.
The article from PF1 was an editorial. Autosport has ample coverage of this, well, very unecessary review of a non issue that is Vettel's pass in the race. PF1 is right to call out Alonso and review his past given his tweet about the rules lol!!! Alonso, is not one without tarnish in F1. All of this is down to him and Ferrari. Autosport has played right along. Bernie said it best - it's a joke. Vettel had a geat year. Alonso established himself as the best driver in both, post MS era's.
I can't really say that he did. Two turn one incidents... one was just a bad luck racing incident, where nobody could possibly keep track of everything going on around them at all times, and the other was Grosjean being crazy. Really, given the way the points finished, you could argue that Grosjean cost Alonso the 2012 title. All the best, Andrew.
+1 And on Vettel's crash at the last race, 9/10 that car is done and must retire. He was so lucky to come out of that crash with a car that was able to perform and finish the race....unbelievably lucky!!!!!
Hahaha, I don't think it's that bad of a thread actually, maybe the source of the article was a bit suspect, but it throws some light on various highs and lows of Alonso. It's nothing new to me, F1 drivers attaining his level are rarely angels.
Yes grosjean cost him big time but on the other hand fred could have been dead. Fred drove brilliantly, ferrari reliability was awesome, now about that chassis and aero...
