Grateful

Living in Southern California, there aren't too may days where I can't take my F355 out for a spin and enjoy the sunshine. Lately however, we have been experiencing multiple days of rainy and generally unsettled weather, so the car has sat protected from the elements inside the garage. During a brief respite from the foreboding clouds this afternoon however, I took the old girl out for a spirited drive to visit my grandson. While enroute, I started to think about how absolutely fortunate I am to live in a country where a guy like me can achieve the things that I have. I'm certainly not rich in the monetary sense, but have been blessed with an awesome wife (30 years), three incredible daughters and a new grandson with whom I hope to share my passion for fast cars in the future. Hell, I'm even lucky enough to be able to drive my car year-round where some of my fellow FCHAT'ers are preparing their cars for winter storage. I managed to survive a thirty year career in law enforcement without sustaining any major injuries and fortunately never had to take anyone's life. What prompted this missive was the incredible feeling I got while driving this afternoon. The car is running as smooth as silk right now and I have never experienced such a rush with any other car I have ever owned. So as we approach Christmas and the holidays in general, I wanted to pass along my thanks and wish all of my FCHAT friends all the best. We're a pretty lucky bunch...
