    A month ago, Maserati claimed officially there won't be an "MC12" version based on the future F70

    According to Marchionnee their eventual sales goal is 50,000.They delivered 6159 units in 2011
    They are far from their goals and minuscule when compared to their German peers.
    Mercedes S/CL/SL Class of vehilces have annual volume of 80,000
    IMO the brand image still needs improvement and Halo cars are a small part of making
    that improvement plus they can make extra profit in doing so.
