there are less than 20 factory RHD in the world, but mine was originally a LHD and badly converted with the brake booster left at the left side. (the wrong side!) and obsolete parts are available online, plentiful, but all NOS. Its never reliable.. its horribly slow as well.. but well, nonetheless, arguably the best styling by Giugiaro. Here are some pics... enjoy :> Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I spend a fortune buying parts and restoring it, and it never really worked. "You never actually own a Delorean. You merely look after it for the next owner.. "
Awesome. Met you at a gas station in Still rd junction some time back & I was toying with it before it was restored when it was left with Supercars. Did you ever bring it to Malaysia highways? Strange, an orig. LHD but imported to Sgp? They must've overlooked it. Probably the cheapest gullwing doors exotic here & I like Giugiaro.
ah, oh yes it was left with Francis at Supercars for a few weeks. Trying to recall you now but can't. :< Nope, never, none of my exotics ever been to Malaysia. If LTA ever did a thorough check on the brakes and steering rod conversion, I could have been fined for owning it.
Oh gosh! Espirt... I probably might have met you before, or the ex owners.. anyway, I know the ex owner of the red bi turbo, he owned it for 20 over years. Test it before years ago, some engine mounting and electrical issues, but it should be fixed by now. As you might know, the bi turbo was humiliated by Top Gear in one of their episodes. There's one car you should look out for, lancia monte carlo, there's at least one in Singapore, it was always parked at shaw building. the condition is superb. If that is ever up for sale, its worth investing.
Haha, don't think we met but i'm sure we'll soon. Which Ferrari do you have now? Thought there were a couple of DMCs around? Hey looks like we have similar tastes. That Monte Carlo is/was probably owned by my neighbour & I also saw him with my ex 348TB as both cars were parked outside his home.
That belongs to an individual on this chat. Someone who called me stupid Car used to belong to din shaiful before he sold it for his 993 turbo. Din had impeccable taste in cars if nothing else. Car then went to an Ang mo if I remember right before ending up with the current owner.
Car aquaplaned at 40kmh?! Whatever it is this is why I just don't do drives into Malaysia. Prefer to crawl in and then use sepang to scratch my itch. You never know what can happen on a convoy drive no matter how safe one is. Poor guy.... This really sucks.
Thank goodness it's gone! Was always a darn nuisance driving in front of my house! But seriously it's a good clean ride if not well used. No wonder I now see him burning around in the X6 hahaha
twisty mountain roads, serious amount of water, downhill at this point ... must have hit a patch of standing water that unsettled the car ...
That's it. My balls just completely disappeared. Even the remote thought of doing drives in malaysia fully disappeared for me in the Lambo.
damage to the car looks pretty bad but lucky it's the rear and the passenger compartment was not hit. If Harold has lost his mood to go up north, don't bother asking this owner.
