We started the engine disassembling and where surprised ...... Apart from the alternator (non original replacement) everything looked great so far. Clean water channels, very good looking pistons and liners, non damaged gears.... no rust after almost 30 years in backyard storage.... Lovely

Wow, is that paint or Dow 7 coating on those magnesium parts? If paint, they did a great job capturing the color and better still, they will keep on looking like that (unlike Dow 7). Can't wait to see this car come along. Cheers, Keith
Are the horizontal lines on the inside of the cam covers from the timing chain? I had the same thing in mine...thanks
Stefan Gosch mixed the paint for me, matching the original colour, created through a chemical treatment originally, as best as possible. I have the paint on other valve covers for some years now, works perfect....
