Bro, that Cayenne is strangely a very good performer on trackdays. Just ask Harold & the rest who did it.

    Very good info. Thanks!

The modern softtop are damn irritating, my ex GTC had something like 4 sensors on the folding part & when one senses a dip in pressure, it malfunctions  Guess that's one reason they went hard for the 458 :D

    Replied bro.

You're lucky but when it comes to inspection centres, they go under the chassis & everything is revealed but maybe there's a tray under some Fcars which blocks the view to the headers & back?

Reminds me of exotic clutch in US. They lay carbon fibre over the plate & supposed to last far longer than stock. Google them, they do international delivery.

Bro, the best convertible top is the one on the old Alfa Spider where you just reach with one hand behind and pull it up. Only maintenance is oiling the joints. Any of these tops with sensors, ECUs, motors and whatever gizmos will screw up over time and cost big time $$$ to fix, not to mention you need someone who really knows how to fix.
My so called simple 355 top is complex enough and I was exploring conversion to a manual top (if it fails) but not feasible cos' of design leverage.

Header leaks are well known from the time of the 355 to 430. 458 is unknown as yet. Really the best route to go is aftermarket where the engineering is much better. Some say that it is the cats and hence the trapped heat that causes premature failures so straight pipes is an option but not legal. Welding is a temp fix, it will happen again.

Oh yes those oldies :) My old 964 & XK8 were problem free & very easy, one-touch button, full auto, 20 odd secs. Was told some of these modern ones don't need greasing on the joints as they use nylon or some other materials that are maintenance-free.

Watching the transformation on the GTC softop was always a joy though as there's a tonneau cover & two flaps that flip over creating a very sleek convertible profile which is why I don't like the current convertibles as they look more like targas than anything else.

Where's Tuck? He bought an old British gal that likes to open up ^^

Wow... In that company the 458 almost looks bland. Unbelievable.

Same here, was surprised that the 458 looks quite outclassed here & the Mac actually looks good.

The lambo is just so sharp.

The downside to the 458 spider is that the engine bay is concealed. MP4 spider has not structural rigidity loss!

    Get it bro.

How do you find the software update so far? Mine should be done today.

Agreed but I think there will be too many LP700s on SG roads.

Euro is depreciating against SGD and LP700 roadster is going to be priced much higher. I don't think OMV will cross 450k barrier. This only means lots of depreciation

    Le bull.

I always find the 458 Spider engine cover part weird looking.

    So is the rear grille.
