Which is the best Indian restaurant in town? There is one at Tanglin Mall which i like. Any recommendations MP?
Mark has just completed his national service. He is on parole now and every year for the next 13 years, he still has to serve time and complete a physical fitness test. Thank God i am done with that and since i am past 50 years of age, they cannot recall me.
my favourite is rang mahal at the pan pacific ... tho it's currently under renovation ... a bit pricey, but very good ...
yikes !!! so what happens if he's working/living elsewhere ??? does he need to drag his butt down for the yearly hammering ???

Have u guys tried Kinara? North Indian, my lecturer used to co share it & the antique furniture were done by us some 20yrs ago used to be in boat quay & HV
I can apply for deferment. Past the age of 40, even if I have not completed my cycles, they cannot recall me unless in extreme emergency (I think).
Congratulations to adulthood Well they have to prove with an overseas work permit & they'll simply postpone what u owe them till you're past 40 odd. I enjoyed my NS days but 50% of the time is wasted waiting for everybody to get things started. Wonder if I should send my kids there in future.
Keep fit bro, it's a drag going to IPPT & now that I'm retired from army I'm trying to sign up for gym! What an irony Btw, most pilots have 6months medical reviews
Yep! I have full intention of maintaining a (relatively) healthy and fit body. I expect to get lazy but shouldn't be too bad still. I hope.
so the trick is to complete yr mandatory stint and split out of this rock till ur past 40 ... right ???
Bro when you're past 30 with kids, it's a struggle. I used to do 2.4 <8mins & 10km was about 40mins but I can't even finish 2km now my knees also hurt now
Might as well skip past the NS then apply for PR after that just to share an interesting fact, my old israeli friend's daughter couldn't find a lawyer job in NYC so we recommended her here & you know what? They offered her to be a judge!
Seems to be the general idea! But some people take it to the next level and just desert. Ah yes I hadn't considered that. But if I take my first 20 years as a gauge, the "with kids" part wouldn't be a problem.
Mark, that's what I thought too till I started receiving my SAF100As on a regular basis! So just as when you think you are done, a reminder comes along to tell you to whom your rear end really belongs to . So only when you are done with reservist are you almost truly a free man
Unless you are officer ... then it is best just to complete your 10 cycles ASAP (at least 7 high keys) rather than "siam" when you are young.
2.4 is < 8 mins is F fast. Use to struggle with the run. Basically i don't like to work out. Somehow, i made it through OCS. I was injured during training in Taiwan till the end of my OCS. I still pass the course. Found out later i was considered for top 10% of my class. Thank god i was injured or could have gone for more training. The highlight of my military training was in Taiwan during reservist. We had not bath for 3 days. I found a stream and my CO brought the whole F battalion for a bath. 800 naked guys in the open.
Either that or get an overseas posting. BTW officers are on the hook till 50! You wouldn't want to be an old fart running along the young 20+ guys during reservist!
That's exactly where you wouldn't want to drop a bar of soap and bend over. Squat! But there again with 800 dicks at face level, I'll pass And not to mention they have not seen women for sometime!
Don't know the rules now. During my time, if you are an other rank, liability is till 40. If you are an officer it is till 50. Actually reservist is a good time to get away from work and do F off. I was a manpower officer in a guards battalion. Did F off during my reservist and had my own private jeep with driver. My S4 was operations manager for KFC so always had KFC during training. Life is not so bad especially when you are an officer.
You should know in Taiwan when we go training in the field, the mobile F shop follows us. When we camp at night, the locals go up in bikes with SYT. Home delivery. In the camp, the F shop is set up at the truck parking area. The reservist were jamming their brains off.
