Pulled this gem out of the closet today, I think all things considered it's my absolute favorite racing game. By far the best carlist, soundtrack and track selection of any game.

I've played very little of racing games, think I'd buy one set up around Vintage racing and the cars to go with it. Hardly likely.

I haven't even touched zombies. It has never entertained me that much.
Good luck with that veteran run. :p

I have too!! It gets frustrating when it doesn't load but overall its fun. The only negative is my strategy is to send them on 1hr tasks to make the most money and it has become such a pain to control 20+ characters so often even though I don't check it hourly.

I tend to keep everyone on 8, 12, or 24 hour tasks; otherwise, I'd be checking my game progress every hour.

Damn it, I had my main system in the shop for ten days and software probs not all resolved. Skyrim still freezes and crashes and bugs with other apps as well...tried to install AC 3 last night but a bug prevented it. Looks like I'm going to have to have a clean OS reinstall done and might as well upgrade to Windows 7.

I'm now looking into getting a separate dedicated gaming system built by Data Doctors. They can put a good up to date high performance rig together for around $1K total if I buy the components myself and avoid their surcharges. Full builder warranty would still apply along wit mfg. warranty on components.

Thats a good idea. I used to be good at checking every hour or so but now its a couple times per day. I will probably change my strategy.

I'd consider just doing it yourself, it's so incredibly easy to put a pc together these days.

When it comes to cars and computers, I now leave all to the pros. A few hundred bucks extra hurts far less than the aggravation of DIY.

Halo 4 on legendary was also pretty easy. I remember when I had to do "mile high" on Black Ops for a few people.

Picked up a few steam specials this week :D

Best game so far has been The Walking Dead. Best adventure game EVA!! If you love the TV show you will love this game! Most of the decisions you have to make are time based so you only have seconds to decide what to pick and then live with the consequences.

Also picked up this cool indie game called FTL: Faster than Light.

I picked up Dishonored and Singularity on sale from amazon, both well-rated games in my genre range. Anyone played either?

My machine's back with a fresh Windows 7 install and now have it hooked up via VGA to the 24"" Samsung TV that Santa brought, also got my Creative sound system working with both and though it's a modest setup sounds are great and fine for my purposes. I had to order a standard-to-mini HDMI cable to connect the TV to PC graphics card and it'll be here in a couple of days.

Assassins Creed 3 now installed and looks/plays good so far.

I got Far Cry 3 after xmas and so far it has been a lot of fun. It has a HUGE map and there is always something entertaining to do. I hiked my way to the top of a mountain, grabbed a hang glider and few it for a couple minutes before landing on a small island I could barely even see when I took off. I found a jet ski and was cruising along the coast when I saw a sea turtle in the water so I dove off and swam underwater with it until I got attacked by a shark.

I liked the first Far Cry but didn't get far in the second one. I guess because I didn't like the setting of Africa. The tropical setting in FC 3 is perfect for me and I can get lost for hours just exploring. The storyline is great so far and the missions are fun with lots of surprising moments. This isn't a game you can just rush through and beat in a weekend.

Graphics are not the best but given the size of the map its understandable and more than adequate. It sort of becomes a style of its own. I'm playing on the xbox. Maybe its better on a PC. So glad I picked it up as its a welcome change from BLOPs gameplay.

Thanks- Ive been debating picking this up for a while- I love big exploitable worlds so you've pushed me over the edge. IMHO a downfall in today's games are that they are far too linear even in an open world format.

I played through Dishonored - great game. It's fun factor kinda slowed up after a few days due to some repetition - but still one of my favorite games from this year - a year I found mildly disappointing for games compared to others.

Intro was pretty cool, though, right? But I agree. I was recommended to this by people who are casual gamers - wont fall for that again. I appreciate the original art direction though.
