My digital clock will not keep time (has power, but just does not keep time). Is there a source of a replacement? I know this is cheesey, but I was thinking of finding a battery powered square clock (about the same size) and just stick it on top of the original.

Mine has recently begun doing the same thing. Picks up a minute or so every week. Strange.

The clock is built into the magic and seriously expensive black box that houses the AC/heater/vent electronic controls. If those are functioning correctly, I wouldn't touch it, get your stick on clock, and be happy everything else is working right. If you're having trouble with the other controls, I'd unplug the connector that goes into the black box. I believe it has about 26 tiny pins that can get corroded. Clean with some contact cleaner, hook it back up, then cross your fingers and sacrifice a chicken or 2.

I had a similar problem with my clock, then it started to reset, then it stopped working. At the same time my entire climate control also stopped working. The problem turned out to be corrosion on the undocumented fuse under the hood next to the ABS control unit.
I upgraded to a better fuse holder and the problem is now solved.

Can you let me know where is the undocumented fuse under the hook? Any pictures that you can post here? Thanks.

It's known more commonly as the "hidden fuse." Search in the 348/355 forum and you should find your answer.

You have to remove the upper part of the front trunk carpet/liner, then just below the passenger side windshield up against the fender will be a computer for the ABS system. Down in a canyon between that and the big black plastic air inlet/fan assembly are some fuses in small holders. Pull each one and check for corrosion or a blown fuse.

http://www.***********.com/blog/post/348-ac-electrical-system-repair-and-upgrade./ This site shows you how to upgrade the fuse holder on the 348 AC fuse

Of course the damn URL check is blocking my posting this...

    the section with the ******** should have "f e r r a r i l i f e" with no spaces....
Not sure why rob is concerned with hot linking to other sites...they still do not hold a candle to this place. ;)

    Good luck!

You may want to check both bullet connectors as well. My original post concerning the clock going out (and I also had trouble starting the car intermitently) was due to the bullet connector under the air filter being dirty and loose. Cleaned it up and have not had a problem since.
