As for Bernie not being a Ferrari fan; That *may* be true, but even he recognizes that F1 would wither and die without 'em.....

Interesting, particularly since both drivers sat in very different cars.

Yet at the same time many on here (probably including the one who made the comment about Vettel having beaten Alonso) do not concede for one moment that Schumacher was "beaten fair and square" by his teammate for the past 3 years. While driving the same cars noless.

I just heard about Ferrari's intentions for dual design platforms next year. I know of 2 other teams doing the exact same thing, which is wise considering the major powertrain change. The different torque band of the new engines is going to change low speed aerodynamics a bit is my guess.

I *really* hope they raise the fuel per hour allotment otherwise I believe we will see teams opt for max revs of 12k rpm as they will obtain the same power at 12k as they could at 15k but have less engine wear.

 

Put Vettel and Alonso in the same car and Vettel would be left behind all the time.
The only champion of F1 is Adrian Newey.

That's not belittling. I'm a huge Vettel fan and consider him one of the top 3 drivers along with Alonso and Hamilton.

But in identical equipment Alonso would have won the title this year. He drove better than anybody else.

 

While I'm an Alonso and Ferrari fan, I predict Vettel to win WCC and WDC for several more years in the future whether he stays with RB or moves on to another team.

Hard to tell, but higher towers than Red Bull/Vettel have fallen before. Who would guess in 2008 that Lewis Hamilton wouldn´t win another championship again in the next 5 years?

 

True. But, Vettel seems to know how to help in the development of the car like MS did; wheres LH just complains when the engineers don't know how to develop the car without his input.

 

Hamilton maybe is a whiner... but we still haven´t seen Vettel in a situation where he has real reasons to whine.

 

They are all the same, they all whine when things go wrong (justified or not) you'd have to be a fool to think otherwise.

The only difference is the media spot light shines brighter on some more than others.

Vettel is a young kid who has won everything so far. Let´s see if he can learn to loose too. Hamilton has got a lot of chances to learn it since 2008, a lesson that probably will be very useful next year.

 

Why does everyone think that it is just the car, that the Red Bull was so superior?
Certainly at the end of the season the RB was quickest but why do you think there were 7 different winners in the first races? Everyone complained about the Ferrari not being fast enough but there was no other car in the field that was constantly faster and more reliable than the Ferrari in the beginning of the season. Who knows whether Alonso would have won more points in the RB at the beginning of the season than Vettel did?
I guess we will never find out who is better as they will never drive in the same car, so sentences like "Vettel would be left behind all the time" are just ridiculous and unqualified (as would be "Alonso would be left behind all the time").
