I am inclined to think the Texans will not be the #1 seed in the AFC, and possibly not even get a week off. Currently Broncos and Patriots are 10-3, if they win out and texans lose just one, Pats are #1 seed. Not sure how the tiebraker would go however of Texans and Broncos. Broncos play Ravens, Browns, Chiefs. Last two should be wins, first one will be the toughest for sure. Baltimore cannot afford to lose another game. Patriots have a difficult game this week as well against San Francisco, but end with the Jaguars and Dolphins which should be wins. Odd scheduling means the Texans play The Colts twice in three weeks with the Vikings in between. It is very tough to beat a good team twice in the same season, especially with the games close together. The loser the first time adapts and is possibly more motivated IMO, so even if Houston wins this week they have them again after Christmas. The Colts can just taste the playoffs after a horrible year last year. This week may be very telling for the AFC playoff picture. I think all three teams will win this weekend (Pats>49ers, Broncos>Ravens, Texans>Colts). Then the pressure will be on Houston to win the final game of the season and get their home field advantage.
I am surprised only one person replied to discuss this.. What I keep finding amazing is this happens over and over and over and over, and the guys never seem to learn (not to drive drunk, let alone be out at 1-2-3-4am..) Caldwell - a guy that has never been an OC before? Kinda like the Forsett knee-down TD against Detroit? What goes around... Didn't Minnesota hand SF its' butt? Houston has the SAME achilles heel they have always had - NO good WR2 or WR3 they can RELY on. That's a killer because every team that goes anywhere has that - Houston doesn't. NE, Denver, NYG, Dallas, GB, Atl, all doing well. Anyone else, so-so - including SF, Pitt, N.O. (I mean on offense). There are a lot of teams with clear #1 WR's, and neither you nor I could even name the #2 guy. Cinci, Clv, Buff, Jets, Det, Minn, Chi, Tenn, SD, AZ, Car, KC, to name a few - all have something in common.
In the Cowboy's car crash... http://www.tmz.com/2012/12/13/dallas-cowboys-josh-brent-jerry-brown-crash-scene-photo/ What kind of car is that? Mercedes CLS ?
I will be pretty surprised if it is 0-6 come Monday, but then again Denver MUST be able to run, can Moreno do it?
Wow, heck of an ending to the Dallas / Steelers game... How bout dem Cowboys! 3 way tie atop the NFC East now...Washington, NY, Dallas... All 8-6. More importantly... Saints stomp Bucs 41-0...First shutout since '95...Who Dat! 8-8 here we come.
Manning was good. The running game was great. 9 consecutive wins for the Broncs. 11W-3L. Next two games are at home. Cleveland and KC. Then the playoffs.
And the Bears are a pretender also. Fire Lovie Smith, he can't figure out how to beat Green Bay or win any other big time game. Cutler shoots his mouth off about having a stronger arm than John Elway, which is the dumbest thing he could say because a strong arm does not automatically make a champion...Elway has 2 superbowls, what does Cutler have? And Cutler's arm is stronger than Joe Montana's, yet he ain't a fraction of what Montana was.
49ers left too many points out there in the first half, they should have at least 30 points on the board....it would be a waste of a great defensive effort if they lose this one (just the NFC championship against the Giants last year).
