I ran across this on CL. Seems like a pretty decent deal! I'm very tempted to go and check it out, but I really am not in the market for another "toy" right now. Somebody please buy it quickly so I won't be tempted anymore!! haha!

I seriously may go and check this out if it's still around this upcoming weekend. What do you guys think??

Jump on it! That is not a lot of miles, I have apx. 50K on mine, if it has not been owned by a Don Johnson want to be. Twenty two years by the same person! Sounds to good to be true to me. PPI and go for it.

If no major problems, I would go for and drive , drive!
Have dings ?... I don't care, I would use as grocery getter... and, one more time... drive.

Same owner for 22 yrs ? That's always a positive in my book.

Wonder if any major issues he knows about and is just tired to bring it back to life ?

Could be a good buy, 66,000 miles is nothing to be scared about on a tr engine....what are the odds it has the original diff and fuse box ;)

At 66k miles, I'd bet its had everything pretty much worked out of it.

    Probably still wont sell... Sad.

Go have a look at it. Let us know. If you don't buy someone else here might be interrested.
Is it red or black interior?

Do you know what kind of wheels/tires it has - I would assume the metric TRX type?

That could be an issue if you want to drive it many miles, as they are hard to find.

Right, but there were both 16" and metric single bolt wheels, IIRC.

Mine has the metrics, and I had to look for over two years to buy the rear tires.

$36K is a great price - if it doesn't need $10k-$20K in deferred maintenance performed 'right now'....

That is indeed a critical issue - more important really than the miles.

Dude, forget all that. This would be the PERFECT car to buy and then take totally apart to bring up to primo condition. Drop the engine, do the major, fix anything and everything there. I'd love to do this in my own garage. However, theres a Maranello in the way right now :-(

You could easily spend over $100K that way - creating what would still be a $50K car.

Did it have 66,000 miles on it and a $60,000 +- restoration?

I just don't see how you can get the money back from restoration of this.

Of course, different story if you just want to spend the money on something for yourself...
