if average joe/joanna rings up a hospital and says "just calling up to check up on my whoever, and see how he/she is doing", would the nurse say a) sorry, can't tell you, or b) have a look on their list and say he/she is doing fine, you are welcome to visit him/her during visiting hours? which ever answer the nurse is to give, that particular nurse went head over heel when she heard it was the "Queen", like it was Jesus who rang. and what is the screen procedure anyway? Hi Queen, before we go ahead, what's your mother's maiden name and your 4 digit pin? hypothetically, if another prank call rang about someone else not Kate Middleton, would she have killed herself? so surely, it's not about the prank, it's about what happened after the prank.
Agree. I actually rang a hospital in Sydney once after hearing on the radio about some poor child's accident. I wanted to know how they were, if I could help, etc. The hospital simply told me that she could not divulge such information ... but thanked me for my concern. Pete
exactly, either way, the fault wasn't on the DJ, any john dick and jerry can call the hospital and make a prank. it's up to the individual on the other end to follow hospital processdures and protocols. if such a high profile "client" require special protocol, then the nurse could have simply said, no comment or better yet, pass it on to her manager on duty. Worst case, it was really the royal family, she followed protocols and if her job isn't safe because of that, then that's news worthy! what the nurse did during the prank was her own choosing, then her death was her own choosing.
Oh and by the way,why would 'The Queen' be making a phone call on the public line. The info the Queen would want would have been given on the, very private, mobile phone of her grandkid, who,I am sure, would have been relaying all that info anyway. Surely(not Shirley)whoever took the initial call, should have twigged the immediate royal family would have their own, independant, methods of finding out any info.
on another note, i got two speeding fines both on the eastlink, keysbourgh area (i think it's under the bridge) haven't seen the actual fine yet but interesting as I always cruise control the whole way. a google search, that particular speed camera is known to be faulty. I wonder if an appeal letter is good enough or i have to go to court
I'll be doing some more online research and write a compelling letter with my best chinglish, so i might end up needing your expertise
I saw this UFO today. It was travelling very fast. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
i actually wonder all these people who condem the DJs actually heard the whole recording 1st one with a bit of an indian accent picked up the call, the DJ said "i would like to speak to my grand daughter Kate please", she said "hold on mam" the music, then 2nd person (sounds like a completely different person) picked up the call and was so excited to be talking to the Queen, and they had a long chat, the DJ made fun really of the royal family, until they hung up. why on earth would the first nurse want her to kill her self for simply transfer the call?? British Media needs every ***** and moan and cry they can get to get their citizens forget about how **it their economy is.
I was just about to write the same until I went back over. I reckon you'd be fairly correct, try to hide our mistakes/shortcomings by blaming the convicts.
