Does anyone know what 'N' in DCNF means?
I understand DC stands for Dual Choke (in Italian) and F for Ferrari(or Ford)!.

    Thanks

Although the DCNF carb was originally designed for Ferrari, it wasnt exclusive to them ie it was fitted to many other sports cars. So i dont think the F stands for Ferrari.

From my research so far, it seems that it does stand for Ferrari.
If they were designed for Ferrari then that makes sense - does it not?

The DCN "L" was specifically designed for the Maserati not a LADA!!

I believe that DC stands for dual throat. As far as the N goes, who knows. I have checked my 2 Weber books from the 70's and as is sometimes typical with small companies the nomenclature is arbitrary and lost too the sands of time.

I've heard that the precursor to Maserati was Lazerati. That company went bust and was raised from dead to become Maserati. Check out your Bible: John 11:38-53

Perhaps "he" knows what the N stands for!!!

The dcn series was designed i beleive in the 60's so i think they were Maserati then. Never heard of Laserati. did they have to much vino!

I think he was more likely to have been stoned - John 11:41
The Laserati where scholars of the Lazarus Bodyshop. They can refurbish a 'body' and get rid of any lingering smells in about 4 days:
“Lord, by this time the body will have a bad smell, because he has been buried four days.”
