Nice little interview, it must feel peaceful leaving your ferrari to Paul knowing he has a passion for your car!

Michael, that is funny! Especially ironic because in some ways he is just a big kid, having fun doing what he loves. But seriously, the depth of Paul's passion and knowledge combined with the fact that he does not easily suffer fools, it may incorrectly come across online that he is "grumpy."

Now was it just me, or did that piece have a gigantic hole missing where the sound of a revving Ferrari engine should have been? :)

That Dino engine bay looked incredible! The man is one of the very best at what he does, that much more remarkable because he is in fact a "young guy."

I first met Paul about ten years ago in Barrie, Ontario.

We were vacationing in Wasaga Beach with our 3 kids and took a run into Barrie to pick up some supplies. Driving down Bayfield Street my 9 year-old son caught sight of a 308GTB and begged for me to pull into the Ford dealership where it was in the employee parking area.

My son and I were admiring the grey/red B when Paul came out from the service bay. He was an absolute gentleman and answered all of our questions and he even invited my son to sit in the car.

I followed the detailed progress of his amazing restoration knowing that it was the same car we saw that day.

Glad to see that Paul is getting the recognition for his work and passion.

    Cheers-Colin Firth

I give a hard time to Ferrari in general.
For their finagling in F1, to the expense and maintenance schedules, to the preponderance of poseurs, not car guys, that own the newer ones.
But when it all boils down they are truly very special cars.
    Unique.

I have a new respect for actors. It was easy to just talk about the cars and whatever came up while we hung out and they set up. As soon as they clacked that board in front of the camera to sync the sound and said go, I filled my pants. It was tough to talk in front of the camera when you know its rolling im just glad and surprised I didnt totally blow it.

Thanks to everyone for the positive feedback, I really appreciate it a lot. I need to thank Brett (regardless of his comments :)) , B-Mak here on F-chat for making me as comfortable as possible and Graeme for shooting the video. Graeme hung around for the day and took countless shots and videos of the cars but seemed to get stuck firmly on the black 512TR. He had never been in a ferrari so with the 512 owners permission I took Graeme for a ride that with any luck had a life altering effect. I know having a ride in an E-type when I was a youngster has had a lasting effect to this day. If I can do that to someone else Ive done my part! It was a fun day.

    Thanks again everyone.

    Hey Paul,

haven't spoken with you or seen you for a couple of years, but have followed online, and in the latest Forza, kudos to you and enjoyed the interview...I hear you when you say you 'filled your pants' but you did well, you looked on the video just like I remember you...confident and capable in your work.

FWIW, B-Mak is no longer on FChat...check Canada section he sort of stormed off...

Wishing you and the family a Merry Christmas.

    Chris

eh, sorry, no. Great camerawork, great music, bad editing. The overall feeling though is so great that it doesn't take much away from it. I watched it a few times.

Wow that was great to watch, putting a face to a man I've spoken and joked with over the years.

Paul, I laughed to myself when you said, "...we were getting read to move".

Good video. Should post on your own site if you've not already.

Good vid. He does a great job conveying the 'Ferrari feeling' that these arent just other cars but another animal all together. Good job Newman.
