Why do you see a shape defined by your inside blue line?

Except for that I think you're close on your wireline.

Has he seen the car? If so, then he knows more than the both of us about what the final product will look like. If not, then he's just basing his upcoming article on nothing more than speculation.

Regardless - when the time comes - it will be interesting to see the similarities (and the differences) between your car and the F70.

Look at the nose shot and think about having the indented scoop turn into air dams at the side of the radiator nose exit as it does here.

Maybe you called him....offer him the car for a photo shot...nobody would refuse...

Please sir...stop talking about the similarities with your car......If i had you car i put 10 miles for every post you put here about f70 looking like your car...It's sad...

Here we want to talk about F70..not about p4/5....this thread is transforming in an unpleasant circus.

Again I was asked to post my photos here too :)

    My original post:
I took additional research on F150 curves and decided to make my predictions how rear could look. Depending on your comments/corrections I will paint paint whole rear part so we can get as much as possible realistic render. First photo shows my scheme how I got shapes, and second is wired presentation. On this version exhaust should be positioned on center.

Apparently English is not your first language. I am predicting a course of action. I am predicting a future speech and I am concluding that, if that future speech takes place, then it will be sad.

My business is to assess the future. Much of the future can be assessed by looking at tendencies. I have seen the tendencies of Ferrari, whose cars I absolutely adore, in their public speeches and public actions and I make judgments based on them.

If you so choose, you can wait until the speech has been made and see if I am right.

But, to give a real world example, we exited Apple starting the week of Oct 8 and got out at an average price of 680. Easy to say in hindsight.

Right now, we think gold prices will hit 1625 before they hit 1825. I can live with you judging me on that.

See post 3529 and other pictures comparing the rear of the cars

I don't need to kiss up to Napolis. I do appreciate his contributions to the auto community and to this board, but I have disagreed with him on a number of issues, including politics.

As for the elements I see on those shadowy pictures, think of the block "T" as you would see, for example in a University of Tennessee emblem. That "T" is a basic blueprint of the rear of the car. At the ends of the crossbar on the "T" are the rear lights--one light as with Napolis' car. With a straight horizontal bar between the lights forming an aero element. Same on both cars

The vertical sides of the block "T" which come off the left and right ends of the cross bar of the "T" are the lateral sides of a double diffuser which is broken in the middle by a vertical element. Same on both cars.

If you travel up to the rear cockpit canopy, it is an upside down teardrop--almost identical to a Pagani and rounded like Napolis' car.

If you look at the fender flares, the "hips" of the car if you will, you will see a tapering from the highest lateral point to a centerline low point. On Napolis' car the taper is continuous and angular, and on the F-Car it is deeper. But either way, it forms a portion of the aero package. The hips of the Ferrari are shaped more angularly like the Pagani, but they have a peak and a crease on the lateral line like the P 4/5.

Are you satisfied yet that I actually looked at the pictures carefully and made my opinion or do you still think I am kissing up to Napolis?

I love cars, is that a crime?

This post is prime evidence that the jealousy and ignorancy genes are very closely linked. You are free to put Napolis on 'ignore' if you are offended by this.

Some intersting info here that some may not know.. I think the details of the side and rear most interesting and could see a far more hi tech approach based on these ideas on the F70..

someone who saw the car said it was same size as the 458 but lower roofline

One of Ferrari's designers showed me how the vanes of the diffuser are curved on the F12 to to "corkscrew" the air which accelerates it thus lowering the underside PSI and increasing downforce.

P4/5 is a ferrari with ferrari inspired clothes and ferrari badge....and F70 is similay to your ferrari....in the way P4/5 is similar to every ferrari in history

P4/5 is produced with ferrari material, ferrari history, Pininfarina pencils, and Napolis moneys.

What you are triyng to convince us is that your money shaped ferrari design......I'm sure I'm not the only one here to be against that ideea.

    Nice.

If English is YOUR first language, you sure don't express yourself very clearly.

With the teaser Ferrari gave us, I really have no idea where the licence plate will be placed. Between the little Cavallino and the fog light or whatever it is? But that doesn't seem right either since its basically a blank space.

I don't think it has anything to do with jealousy. I can personally say that I'm not but I'm also annoyed with the constant comparison with the P4/5. I don't even think the rear is THAT similar. Except for the big round rear lights on a low and wide red car, I don't see the similarity.

Regardless, all Ferraris, Jim's included draw from the Ferrari DNA bank so as Ferrari will no doubt draw from its own heritage that might understandably include Jim's car. So what? Can we leave it until we see the full reveal and then bear in mind where it all originates.

Really? Are you suggesting that you had no clue what I meant?

Are you suggesting that my post wasn't clear.

I used the following words: "it will be very interesting to see their public comments . . . ." And "I bet they will pay respect to their founder, their racing heritage and their engineering more than they will acknowledge any designer's work."

What about that is not both: (1) future tense and (2) clear? What about this is confusing to you?

Now, if you want to say I am wrong, then that is your prerogative. But to suggest that I didn't express my thoughts clearly is just incorrect.

One more thing . . . on your other post . . . relying on "Yahoo answers?" Real smooooooth.

Funny, isn't the P4/5 inspired by Ferrari's own P330? Irony.

Well they're all Ferraris, they come from the same family, thats what make their cars have identity. I will not be surprised if the F70 will have slight cues of the P4/5, they are both supercars with similar profile, i.e not the shape of a F12-B. unless it's a blatant rip off of P4/5's design, then maybe some of us will start paying attention. At this moment however, it looks typical of Ferrari's evolution of their current generation line up of designs. i.e 458-FF-F12

Just to add, the rear deck+rear window and wheel arches look more like a Zonda than the P4/5, and by ''rear deck/shelf'' I dont mean my opinion inclues the design of the rear facia, I.e the 'T' bar and GT40 rear lights ;)

    And like a lot of other F-cars (250LM, 250 GT Lusso, ...)

Sorry I don't see this on the P4/5. The rear lights of that car are in a framed grate (?) like the F40 or the F50, no horizontal bar in between. (90% of the F-cars have similar design but with only the frame and without a grate)

    F40, F50, Enzo, 360 Modena,...

And all of the LMP1 cars. And by the enhancements of Milano you can see that there is more of the Enzo then the P4/5 in the design.

    288GTO, 308GTB, ...

Here is first paintwork for F150 rear. I`ve tried to integrate 4 exhaust types and diffusers. Critiques are welcome :)

I will post one more "extreme" version with central exhaust.
