The F70 isn't a "cheap" knockoff of P 4/5. It's a clear step away from the Enzo and a return to the track that Battista, Sergio and Andrea developed and nurtured with the 288GTO, The F40, and the F50 and many, many Ferrari's and other cars that they (Battista and Sergio) designed long before Ferrari came into existence where these forms first came to life.

Guys you can take a look on my final render for F70 rear here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=141969938&postcount=3635

I didn't noticed your question before. When I was analyzing overall shape I figured out that line that goes around rear light perfectly match with shape that I had on "outside" (left blue line) and with line of upper part of car.

Take a look on this wired presentation on my final render for F70 rear.

Great work, again. Exhaust does not look right but I can see the logic as it leaves the diffuser clear. Would there be any benefit in incorporating the exhausts within the diffuser, although I accept on the mule they are positioned similar to how you have them. Just seems too simple a solution and this car will be anything but simple. Indeed Autocar suggests the 3rd brake light is the exhaust.

Are you going to buy one and then morph it into a new car?

The hybrid drive train looks like one that you would embrace given your racing team.

And it would be fun to design a fresh new car shape--a complete departure from your P series.

The best Pininfarina design, totally different from P 4/5 I've ever seen for a modern hypercar hasn't yet been built.

Andrea showed it to me and we talked to Bugatti about using a Veyron as a platform but in the end because of the complexity of that chassis didn't do it.

The easiest chassis to use would be a P1's.

    We shall see.

I am glad to see this. What we see so far suggests the more organic and suggestive forms that we associate with Ferrari/Pininfarina. I have always thought that the Enzo was an unwelcome departure from the above lineage. It is too industrial looking, yet without the Bauhaus simplicity of Porsches -- a misguided attempt to depict a road&track car as an embodiment of F1.

Sadly, I believe it is in-house.

Why do you think that? GTO, F40, F50 & Enzo are designed by Pininfarina. Modern Ferraris like 458, California & F12 are designed by Pininfarina too. Why F70 would be exception?

Tnx for info! So new F70 will be completely designed & developed by Ferrari. This fact makes it even more interesting!

Yes, that is what we have been told. That is not necessarily a bad thing. We will see.

F12 Berlinetta was designed jointly by Italy's Pininfarina design house and Ferrari's design department, led by Flavio Manzoni.

Quoting him from an interview in 2011:

^^^ Seems that Ferrari`s Centro Stile is fully operational! They will deliver new flagship-that is pretty big step forward! Maybe, in future, we will see all Ferrari models designed in house.

that is definately interesting, so pininfarina showed you a sketch of what you consider to be the best hypercar you have seen?

May I suggest Jim that you make this a completely bespoke design, ie. own chassis, engine, etc.

You, and your team, have a heck of a lot of knowledge in this area now ...

Never, look at the pictures of the mule and the "engine picture". There are 4 exhauste pipes, the silencers are behind the rear wheels, that may be the best place to put a heavy like this.

That doesn't make it impossible, though. Imagine a more extreme configuration of the zonda's. And the pipes have already swapped place with the triangular reflectors on the most recent mule, so not definitive. At the same time don't trust autocar anymore and the Kers is in the way

There's no palce there, there is the kers unit. They have to keep source of heat away from kers. SO the best place is near the extremities
