Yes! Well spotted and remembered. It is the West End, on Byres Road at junction of University avenue. The coffee shop used to be the Royal Bank of Scotland. The view is up Byres Road looking towards Great Western Road xx
I notice the red car in this poster must be an '85 or early '86 with he 2 vent F.I. engine bay hatch. Mike
Indeed! I used ti think that perhaps a handful of Countachs were used in advertising for Alpine. The received wisdom now is that a dozen or more cars were used.
Lol Joe How on earth do you get these photos of my car that I have never ever seen! That must be the third or fourth! Hat off to you. You have the most amazing collection or sources of all material to do with the Ct. Keep it going and continue to keep us all entertained. Paul
Paul, Much of the material I post is from my archives, but a significant portion is in fact material that is sent simply to me. I have spies everywhere. Short story: I was recently sent a pic of an F40 with 167 miles on the clock by a 15-year-old. I ended up selling it to a major Ferrari collector for a world record sum. I get a little help here & there... Best,

For the fun of it let us see what Joe can find out about my Countach. I am giving him no details. Joe are you up for the challenge?. I think you can find more info than I can. 1984 Triple white. I am impressed with how you find info on these cars.
I'd be happy to try... I would need the VIN number, and even then its hit & miss, but lets give it a shot.
You guys aren't gonna believe this, but the Countach suddenly developed an "electrical issue" and won't be drivable until she leaves town.
Olivier, is this the same car at an earlier stage of development? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
If you are looking, check this LP500S out http://www.germansportscars.net/GB/cars-for-sale/detailview/lamborghini-countach/392/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
Luci Del Bosco, which as has been said here before, roughly translated means Lights of the Forest, a lovely period color. Metallic brown to you & I. Agreed it is stunning!
Here is another rare colour. Body restoration almost complete Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Paul, thank you for showing the original artists respect by preserving the original color and not being swayed by popular consensus & modern color choices.
Is the rear track narrower on the LP400S vs later cars? Why/how? Or are the fender flares just wider?
Its something we see on LP400 that have been 'converted' to LP400S by privateers (outside the factory). Its indicative of the fact that the car may still have the LP400 wishbone suspension as opposed to full LP400S parallel links. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I see on the picture that front bumper, air vents and location of flash lights are a little odd as well.
