Just been washed. Nice car, but it will need a lot of love to make her right again.

What are the chances that water made its way into the engine by way of the intake or the exhaust pipes? Inquiring minds want to know.

The VIN indicates it might be a Swiss or Sweden version -- perhaps those non-mouse seat belts might be the most valuable bits ;). The side marker lights also appear to be not quite really US parts; non-US rear bumper; no knee bolster under the dash...

If the water went over the axle height there is a 99% chance water made it inside at least part of the engine.

If the water went over fender height I give it 100%.

Thanks for the information. Do you have a part number or later SB/publication for this part -- I can't seem to find it in the TR SPC.

Whats the price point at which this is worth trying to save instead of parting out? Pretty much getting close right?

If you budgeted $20K for potential repairs you'd be in the mid $30's for a TR with salvage history. Doesn't mke much sense to go more than that....?

One could also get lucky and pay $18k, turn the key and if it starts just drive it until it blew :)

An then you have a TR that is still worth 18K or more parting out... :) now that is a deal.
