honestly, the car color naca induct looks wrong as the tail lights do, it's a LP400 so let it be correct, it will never be the LP500.
This may be of some interest...expert model builder converted an LP400 kit to the LP500 prototype. Many changes were required, which he talks about. Fascinating not only from a modellers point of view.. http://www.h3.dion.ne.jp/~mokei/e-gallery-lambolp500.htm
Thanks. Is it the same Countach illustrated in Jean-Marc Borel's book ? "Rame Colorado Metalizzato" is very nice, 11x LP 400S have that color !
I have a ton of original factory, press, media & subsequent material on the 25th Anniversario, perhaps we should have a dedicated thread for this variant Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
i am not the biggest anni fan (i love the "S" form too much ).... but given we are close to 25th anniversary of the anniversary i think it is the appropriate time i have something to at home the most special to me is one anniversario owners manual signed by Ferruccio...probably my favourite lamborghini memorabilia
Joe, in amongst your seemingly vast collection of magazines with Countach articles... Do you by any chance recall a couple of cars; - Firstly a red QV with red wheels and an Anniversary-style tail light panel, in "Modern Motor" (I think it was supposedly the first QV in Australia), sometime in the mid to late 80's? - And secondly, I have a vague memory of seeing a picture in "Wheels" (early 80's), of Paul Halstead's Countach, painted white with flush-fitting wheel covers and the flares blended onto the body work. I think this might even have been before he had the roof removed. Do either of those ring a bell with you? I could well be way out with the Halstead Countach details, only very hazy recollection there, but very definite about the Aussie QV.
Nice pic, if I do say so myself I love that car, I have had the pleasure of driving it and it is just fantastic. I work at Amari so thats how I get the nice photos of it. We bought another Countach this week, a white 25th Anniversary with 6000 miles on, and rosso interior. No photos of that yet apart from on my phone and they aren't up to my high standard so I won't post them!
Joe and Olivier as promised here you can see images of the anniversario manual with the Ferrucio signature it translates in "To Lamborghini Friends - Ferruccio Lamborghini - 11 October 1988" i was barely 10 years old then Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I remember the red car as posted by gday (mick), and I have that magazine. I have lots of Paul Halstead's car in different guises but I'll have to look and see if I have what you are describing.
Welcome Adam! You guys get such great examples. Please take some great pics of the Anniversary, I will be starting a thread on those cars and perhaps you can post them there. Best,
