    Hi All,

So I just got this new rubber sleeve from my local Ferrari dealer that fits between the air cleaner and the fiberglass tube that runs to the passenger quarter duct for fresh air and have a question on the fit.

The original one was stretched over both the steel air cleaner assembly and over the fiberglass. The new one fits snugly over the air cleaner and fits nicely INSIDE the fibgerglass duct.

    So which is right?

Ricambis site shows their used to be two clamps (which mine has never had based on no pinch marks) but these are NLA. Different model year/different fit? Changeup?

I have attached a photo of the new one fitting insde the tube and one photo of the old stretched and messed up one.

    Thoughts?

I got a new one from AW Italian and it fits on the outside on both the airbox and the fiberglass part. Takes just a bit of stretching to make it fit, then use the usual clamps to keep it on.

According to the photo's in the original factory brochures on all the injected 308 cars(both 2vi and QV)it goes on the outside on both ends with the two clamps(one at either end).

The clamps should still be available new from TRutlands in the USA(I sourced them there about a year ago for my major service)???

Yes, both on the outside (with band clamps). I did spread a thin film of 3M silicone paste inside both ends. It made fitting it very easy.

    Is that the right hose?
The carb cars have a similar hose, but different. I don't remember which one is longer (more ribs).

Carb cars use 107533 which is nearly twice as long (and more ribs) as the 2Vi/QV/328 one 114109. OP appears to have the correct hose for a 308QV, per his profile. Clamps are needed however.

Why does the one he removed have 8 ribs and the new "correct" one only 4? Was the one removed wrong?

    A short rant:
Anyone asking a technical question on this board should always give the year/model of their car. Otherwise we're all just guessing how to help you.
Also, filling out your profile completely lets us know roughly where you live. I can answer a number of questions - shop or PPI recommended, etc, but only applies to San Diego or Southern Cal. Not very helpful if you live in Arkansa! End of rant.

I don't know about the rubber hose (year, model?) but the clamps are available. A few months ago I bought 4 from Ricambi. Recently called them to get two more and they were out of stock/NLA. TRutlands is a good next try option or if not them, just call around the supliers and dealers. They should cost about $8.00 each and are really only usable once due to the way the clamp works.
