The upgraded software 10 is perfect. The gear changes are significantly sharper and crisp. Autoblip on downshifts makes the car sounds more aggressive.
Since you have the 458 and the 12C. Which is the better car? It's the 12 C for me, especially after the upgrade.

Took the 12C out for a spirited drive just now. Coming from the earliest version to the current v10, I can vouch that the car has evolved greatly. The increase of power to 625PS can be felt significantly and power delivery is linear till redline. The gearbox is no longer sluggish and I like how the car shifts gears now. Has an aggressive bark when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd at 6-7k rpm. The car has much better road handling capabilities. 458 can feel a bit twitchy in race mode even with PSS tyres. Prefer the traditional steering on 12C, just drive and go. First production car by McLaren and they got the car right. Best part is the free upgrade offered to owners. Ferrari milks its customers with scuderia (lightweight versions). 12C for me.

The V10 upgrade completely changed the car. The good news is this is not the end of it. Heard they are already working on 11. I don't know how in the world they are going to make it even better.
