Thanks. I think the exhaust was custom from previous owner. It sounds good and loud. I do like the look of the twin pipe setup better though.

Good to see there are Fcars in the OKC area. And a GTB at that.

Little known fact: That "SF" above the gate did NOT stand for Southfork, as most people guessed, but for Scuderia Ferrari. . . ;)

It's amusing seeing people with non Rosso Corsa ferraris refer to the colour as 'resale red'

I find it quite a derogatory term, used by some to inflate their own self importance and maybe justify to themselves their reasons for buying a non 'resale red' Ferrari.

I've owned 8 Ferraris. 4 were 'resale red'....one with no choice because they were ALL red upon delivery.

The reality is Ferraris look nice in all sorts of colours (different models/different colours) and that, ladies and gentlemen, includes 'resale red'*.

*Some models look terrible in Rosso Corsa as some do in other colours.

I never got the impression that people who refer to rosso corsa as "resale red" meant to be insulting, or to offend you or anyone else.

I have been given to understand that it was the dealers who coined the term: So many buyers want their Ferrari to be red - especially those buying a Ferrari for the first time - that the dealers can rest assured that any red Ferrari on the showroom floor is definitely going to sell. Thus, with regard to trade-ins, dealers were not hesitant to take a red Ferrari in trade to the extent that they might have been with, say, prugna.

I did, in fact, have a dealer tell me in about 2004 that the best-selling colors for Ferraris where he had worked were, in order, rosso corsa, black, yellow, and silver, in that order, with rosso corsa being the most in-demand color over 2nd 3rd and 4th place by far.

So a majority of people who want Ferraris want a red one. (Many people even refer to the color as "Ferrari red." I think that the term "resale red" was meant to be a little witty, but I doubt that anyone made it up or used it with the intention of hurting your feelings.

And if I bothered anybody by mentioning prugna - I didn't mean to! I love that color and wouldn't hesitate to buy a 308 in that color. In fact, I think 308s look great in almost any color - even white, my least favorite on most other cars - and I love to see many 308s of many different colors together at car shows and drives.

My feelings aren't hurt. Talk about trying to read too much into things!! LOL I have a blue Ferrari, incidentally....

BUT...if you read the context in which the term is used here, it IS meant as derogatory. Scroll back and have a look.

Thanks for the history lesson BTW, but I think most people would know all that already.

Could be worse...could be known as "Rapist Red"!

    Wheeew.

You would have to post on web boards explaining how you are NOT a rapist while owning several rapist cars. The confusion - it hurts just thinking about it.

Scrolled back, had another look. Don't get the "derogatory" part. Still looks to me like you are being a bit oversensitive to the term "resale red;" hence the "history lesson," which I never would have posted except for your rather severe reaction to the term.

In any case, I appreciate 308s of any color.

    Whoa!

Now that car positively gleams! Truly stunning.

That part of the desert, anyway. Not so rare in CO and northern NM. And thanks for putting us back on track! :) Beautiful 3x8s should be what the thread is all about anyway. Sorry to lead us astray for a moment there.
