    I'd call it a "regulation," as in it meets the letter if not the intent of military haircuts.

    And Dapper Dan is good old pomade. Greasey kids' stuff.

    Leaving Hitler out of the equation, I've always thought that was a cool look. Could have pulled it off in my 20s but no way at 63.

    If you see the movie "the Sting", they make Robert Redford's hair in the style as the first picture in this thread.

    I remember it, also seen the style in lots of period movies old and new, most recently in the Downton Abbey TV series.

    I noticed this too under Lawless! Thought "that's not a hairstyle I expected from backed then".

    Looks fantastic, if you can pull it off. My hair is thinning out too much, otherwise I'd try it, so fresh.

    I dont think so. I think they are just combed differently. (One combed down the other combed to the back)
