What an amazing machine. How stable is she at top speed? Is it a comfortable ride or is it quite jarring over water surface imperfections to be travelling so quickly? All the best, Andrew.
she IS amazing ... for sure ... at top speed, ride is 100% solid. but u DO need to be seated ... all said and done, incredibly comfortable ... simply cos the boat has truly minimal contact with the water at speed ... i'm told that only a few inches of the stern is actually in the water ... the rest is airborne ... for example, the props are perhaps 4-6 feet below the surface ... but at speed, half the prop is above water ... with zero cavitation ... and kicking up a mother of a rooster tail ... technology in a class of it's own ...
Very interesting technology, and nice pictures as usual, MP... do me a favor and drink a cocktail for me as you sit on your boat in the sunset, will you?
actually i don't ... except when i'm up in phuket with the family and we go out to sea for upto 2 weeks at a time ... which could be several times each season ... here i go out with friends virtually every weekend ...
In California we pay $5.95 USD a gallon for diesel, I dont even want to k now how much fuel that beast burned! What a great trip!! Did you set a new record?
singapore pump prices very high due taxes ... but cheaper once i get into malaysian and thai waters ... but still, burned a LOT !!! approx. 16k litres ... and ummm ... yeah ... i reckon this will never be broken in the foreseeable future ... the previous record was also mine ... 18 hours in a ferretti 630 2 years earlier ...
Cakewalk was around too (along with several others) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is absolutely WRONG!!!!!....diesel either for road use or marine is currently around $3.70 a gallon....Please view attached link....Mark http://www.californiagasprices.com/index.aspx?fuel=D
Come visit the Clipper Yacht Harbor fuel dock in Sausalito and try to pay your price.....SURPRISE!! On 12-9-12 i paid 4.45 per gallon, cheapest Ive paid there this year. 5.95 was at its peak this year.

I had my Rodman 25fter & Rodman 28fter berthed at Clipper Yacht Marina. Sausalito fuel prices typically are the HIGHEST with Gashouse Cove a close second. Fuel at either Coyote Point or Pillar Point harbor will typically average between 50ct & $1.00 a gallon cheaper. I NEVER use an anomoly ( the highest fuel price) as an example/standard as you did.....Mark
Not meant to be an "anomoly", just what I paid. Having met MP at One Degree Fifteen Marina in Singapore this last April, I though he would appreciate what it CAN cost for fuel in Ca. as Singapore fuel is very close in price. My office is at Clipper, saw your Rodman for sale, nice boat!
& it's even more amazing that she can achieve with my fat a$s on board .. like a jetski she can literally double around and jump over her own wake .. now that's freakish!! Mantra is an incredible piece of machinery MP, but haven't you had her for too long now ... it must be time for an upgrade no??
true reiny ... it's typically S$1.70/l at the marinas ... tho i can get it for abt S$1.10 at the bunker barges ... have had no issues with fuel quality from them at all ..
hehehe ... dude ... i think ur trying to get me into the doghouse ... permanently ... tho the boss is talking of a trade-in ... shhhhh ...
