I'm told I am a living in the past since I'm listening to the same stuff I listened to 46 years ago, the Dead, The Band, Dylan, NRPS, to me everything else hurts my ears.

There's some great stuff coming out nowadays. It just doesn't dominate the charts like great stuff used to.

If Yo-Yo Ma, who butters his bread with Bach, can get ziggy with it during both Kid Rock's barking and that wonderful arrangement of Stairway to Heaven in the LZ tribute, the rest of us should be able to find value in contemporary rock. (How's that for a desperation driven stretch?! LoL!)

 

Man...Robert Plant has not aged well! At least, compared to John Paul Jones.
Plant's body language was very interesting during the Kennedy Center show. Looked like he wasn't enjoying himself and would rather be elsewhere. Jimmy Page, on the other hand, appeared to be having a blast. They all seemed more relaxed on Letterman, with Jones being the spokesman.

Glad to hear Ramble On...one of my favorites back in the day. Anyone here see the band at Pirates World in Dania, Fl? Think it was one of the stops on their first U.S. tour.

Although Kid Rock made a nice attempt, I can't stand him. I think his music absolutely sucks.

 

I can't stand it when singers "bark" the way he did in that otherwise decent performance.
