I was thinking the same thing, but I think the one we are thinking of belongs to Cavallo Nero - http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/member.php?u=988

Amazing house Graham. Ever had trouble with that retro front number plate? Is the rear B&W, too?

    Thanks Paul,
House would not have been quite so nice had it not have been for my luck in selling my Dino to someone Ginger/Famous!
The number plate has been on this car for a long time.........The first MOT i have is from 89 and it was on the car then........Illegal plate for a 78 car but have never been bothered by the boys in blue! maybe they dont know its age and the plate sure gives no clue......I would like to know its original plate but have no idea how to find out.
I will leave the plate on the car where it deserves to be albeit someone offered a couple of grand for it!
    Regards,
    Graham.

Seattle area waterfront on a chilly (28 degrees) winter morning. Taken on December 30th, 2012. Just realized I've owned a Ferrari for a year now :)

They're starting to clamp down on the number plates for the MOT tests a lot more now - incorrect style lettering, incorrect spacing, incorrect colouring, incorrect symbols on the plate etc., etc., because the garages can get a lot of grief (and lose their MOT testing station license), if they're found to be passing cars that don't meet the correct criteria.

Also, with the on-board computer systems that the patrol cars now have in the UK, it wouldn't matter if the officer didn't know how old the car is, because the computer will tell them immediately!

I suspect you've simply been very lucky that you haven't bumped into a "By the book" officer yet.

Just be aware that if you are found to be running illegal number plates, the DVLA can confiscate the registration number from you and re-issue you with a worthless, age related plate (and there's no compensation paid for the loss of the plate either!), because no matter how much money you pay for a registration number, it remains the property of the DVLA - you merely pay for the right to use that number on your vehicle!

Don't know if it's the new year that makes me feel dizzy or what, but pictures like these enhance only the lines of that car, lines that seem more and more ageless, and timelessly beautiful. Great car, great pics...Thanks, Robb

Argento is sweet! Don't know if I have ever seen argento and tan together before, though. I'm afraid that I may like it even better than the argento/red and black that I have.

I will see if the models are "busy"... They are friends with John at Ferrari Service AZ.
