In fact, Lee Iaccocca was dragged into a lawsuit over Carlini's favorable allocation of Countach 25ths, including Iaccocca's own cars.

Speaking of lawsuits, Joe, that is quite a suit against you. I did not know you were a licensed financial planner, where did you get you license? Did you have a license to sell product like that? You do have to be licensed by the NASD, SEC and I am sure the state.

If those people win, you might end up having to sell your cars to pay for that.

Yes, they look best in black, imo.

Why is the frame black in the front and silver by the engine?

Is this for aesthetics or does it serve a purpose?

That pic looks like the gearbox primary and secondary shafts. Are you saying all 5/10 gearbox gears are different and/or the final? Do you have a part number of any gear in the 25th that does not match a QV part number?

No. A DD car is worth more than 140.

Only the final ratio which is on that shaft, you can find the parts in the official parts manuals.
I think I posted them on lambo-talk in the thread "Countach QV projects: Engine remove, gearbox, dashboard etc." in the countach section.

Let me try this a different way. It has been my understanding that the gearbox gears and final/differential of the 25th is unchanged from the QV. This comes from a number of factors - practical, parts manual and press releases. So to be specific, some key relevant parts are:

1st primary 002421346 (included with shaft)
    2nd primary 002420384
    3rd primary 002420385
    4th primary 002425289
    5th primary 002425290

(Obviously the secondary's must match the primary's)

    Main diff crown (final) 002308009

These are part numbers listed for both a 25th and a QV. If I'm missing something or not understanding something it would not be a surprise to me. But I'm looking for some hard facts that support the notion that the ratios of the 25th and QV are different.

That's funny Joe! That station is exactly 1.3 km from my home and I will go there to "put gas in the car" just to hear it pop and crackle down the neighbourhood.

Don't worry about ancient history, suits & licensing, I certainly am not, and I dont lose a wink of sleep over it. Regarding Iaccocca, his car was 12648. At first when I saw it, I doubted it was originally silver with the one-off interior, but Valentino checked his records ad it was made this way specially for him. The leather in the interior is actually silver, these images are not very good I'm afraid.

Someone from the Lamborghini factory familiar with these cars has just told me in the last 24 hrs that same part number does not necessarily mean same parts in the variant range from LP400S to Anniversario (even though technically, it is supposed to). Does anyone have any familiarity with this issue?

That seems a bit of a strech if you limit things to QVs vs 25ths - and the issue is not bounded by part numbers.

Yes, I agree & understand this. Nothing conclusive came out of our conversation FWIW.

    TAV 019:
    Part #30 till VIN 12534 002421348, from 12535 002427488
The ratio was changed from 28/29 to 35/34.
The opposite gear is 2419496 vs. 2427487 (new) to be found on TAV 20.
The shaft I had to replace was #31 on TAV 019.
