    Whoops, I didn't see the A-team :)

I hope A.J. gets to race since he is the defending champion.

I'm still putting my 24 Hours of Daytona photo book together and it is maxed out at 110 pages

I'll be at the track this weekend to get some last minute pics before I make my final edit and get the book printed hopefully in time for the Rolex 24. The hard part is choosing pictures between drivers like Scott Pruett who will be very easy to get him to signed it or someone like Dan Gurney who hardly ever comes to the race. Do I take out a grid girl shot and replace it with a face shot of Boris Said. I need another 50 pages :D

I hope AJ gets to run too.

who fielded the car that Brian Johnson (AC/DC) and his crew entered last year? was that a Starworks car?

According to the picture I put in the book he was driving the #50 Predator Motorsports DP.

Unfortunately it looks like he may not be returning this year. Would've been a nice signature and easy to get
as he was very friendly and gracious. :)

Here's a peek at some of the other pages I'm working on.

Check out this pic, Bowyer looks like a boxer in the corner taking instructions from his trainer...https://twitter.com/MWRteam/status/287575755351797761.

"Clint, you got this guy...gloves off...block with your right and then come in with the left hook..."

Dude in the middle looks pretty serious too, sparring partner?

Seemed like more cars than usual and they weren't giving an inch. During the evening session I saw two cars get their line taken away on the left turn after the International Horseshoe and go spinning off into the grass. This car drove away without hitting anything while another backed into the tire barrier.

The same session had several cautions and at one point they brought out a pace car to collect the field. When they let them go again it was like a restart in a real race and they drove hard. They actually hit then bounced off each other in that picture you quoted. It was crazy to watch.

    That's what I was thinking :)

I was going to take a pic of it as they came by but couldn't get the right angle.

Like I said there were several cautions but I don't know what for as I couldn't see from my position. I don't know if they have " local " cautions and or full track cautions but I did notice that when the yellow lights came on nobody seemed to slow one bit. Perhaps the officials got tired of that and went to the extreme of actual slowing them down with a pace car. I'm just guessing but I will say that for a moment there it looked like a real race without the crowds.

usually in testing you go red flag and bring everyone in for what would be a FCY under racing conditions.

    very odd.

unless they were trying to give some of the newer/amateur guys a taste of a restart? that's the only reason I can think of to do that.

This car spun right in the preferred line and they all drove by him at speed until he got it re fired and drove off. I was holding my breath that someone wouldn't see him entering the horseshoe and T bone him.

That makes sense. I'll add that later on with about 10 minutes left in the session they brought them all down pit road, there was a short pause and then they came back out on their own for the remainder of the session. I think they were allowed to practice refueling during the night session only so maybe that had something to do with it. It would be interesting to know.

if I were a car owner and the driver starts tearing up equipment with crap like that during a test, there will be another driver in the car for the race.
