Another well-known (former) Hong Kong based car was the UK-delivered RHD 12060, formerly HK-registered MZ 8870 (as seen in this hill-climb event a few years back) now back in the UK since 2010.

Finished in special-order Bentley livery of Brooklands Green and matching interior in Connolly leather piped with red plus a red steering wheel & shifter. This was a special combination with the leather ordered from Bentley to match the owners extensive collection to which this car became a part. Seen here at the hill-climb event, the bare-metal exhaust valance & shield are factory application, part of the finish-to-order.

    More on this car later.

I confirm this is KLA12081 , for sale by a Belgian trader.

    http://www32.brinkster.com/automagazines/CountachKLA12081.htm

The silver car in the museum is KLA12085 and described as the last 25th. Does this mean that 12081 is the 5th last Anniversario ? Are there any traces for 12082, 12083 or 12084 ?

    Thanks.

I would not conclude it is 5th last because some chassis numbers simply were not assigned to cars.

Interestingly, I have just learned that the last-but-one car built prior to the factory's Museo car was given to Bologna dealer Romano Bernadoni (Emilianauto) and it too was silver. According to his cousin Stefano Pasini he sold it to Japan, and in fact I am aware of a silver car in Japan.

It was my understanding the second to last car built ( last customer car), was a red car and was for sale a few years ago. There were pictures of it on the assembly line in front of the last Museo car. Will try and find.

The red car coming down the line is 12887, delivered to Italy.

But, I don't think it is the 2nd last car, nor do I think that is the Museo car (I could be wrong there).

The received wisdom is that our previously thought notion that just 3 or 4 silver cars were made is wrong. I'm above 6 silver cars. So far!

    A well-known enthusiast.

He was inspired by his Bentleys (classic livery for those cars) and in fact they supplied the Connolly leather to the factory.

Speaking of liveries, standard production statistics are fairly-well reflected in this pic that shows 10 new 25th Anniversarios, 6 red, 3 black, and 1 white. Nothing scientific, just a guide.

Of note too is the fact that the vast majority of 25ths were originally delivered wingless.

Are you saying that among all the countach variants there is a 6 to 1 ratio of red Countachs to white ones? Are there 3 times as many black countachs as white?
    Great thread by the way!
    Thanks

And 12085 is one of the most well-traveled, all over Europe, Asia, and even to the USA. And always back home to Italy.

Here it is in England recently

    Thanks.

I don't have any fixed statistics put together yet, I'm merely suggesting that what I have observed is that red was very popular, as it perhaps should be, this being an Italian Supercar!

This wonderful series of images commissioned by HR Owen and taken by NWVT CO UK are from the summer of 2012, and it appears there was indeed a Zonda there at the time, as seen again in the top 2 images. Other Supercars in evidence too.

The bottom two images were taken at the Lamborghini Uncovered Moving Museum in June. Quite a few of the factory museum cars were shown at various locations around London. Great effort by all involved, and nice to see recognition of the marque's history by the factory and the dealer.
