I too did notice that. I think those lines are placed there to mislead us. If you look close at that area you will notice that the colors and the shades are consistent on the left and right of that line... My conclusion: those lines are not a part of the actual car.

My guess is they drew the bonnet lines extra long over the atual car front to be able to digitally process them, then they erased just enough so that the lines are still stressed but about the right length in the released image.

So I think the lines will be on the actual car but short as to bonnet length.

Or else this is going to be a really weird machine.

I don't think that these lines will be that sharp. It will be more fluent, no real folding. Take a look at the shading and colors on the left and right of the lines in following picture:

    http://images.cdn.autocar.co.uk/sites/autocar.co.uk/files/ferarri-enzo-2.jpg

The real folding is less sharp and on the inner side of those lines.
Somebody care to remove those lines in the picture?

    Mike,

Do you know if the most $$$ option will be for comfort or performance? (Mechanical)

No, in terms of cost of the options no one has told me specific numbers. I know the two different versions have different price points, but as for particular options on each version I don't have solid numbers yet.

I see some F50 in the front end, similar nostrils.

Anyone willing to bet any money on comfort costing more than performance? No? Didn't think so...

What if the performance and comfort versions are the new enzo and the new FXX and not really two versions of the new enzo that are road legal?

I think the most plausible deduction is that they will roll out the xx version alongside the street one at the launch, maybe together with the new f1.
It does not make sense having the discontinued 599 as the technical showcase.
And it would put to rest others' track time claims giving no natural comparison benchmark

You said it better than me! I completely agree that having the 599XX EVO and the FXX as the technical showcases frankly makes no sense.

What are the odds that we reply with a similar statement at the same time?

    That's right! =)

Well, we know this is not the real thing and there are some pretty obvious differences with what has been shown. I will however put the disappointment on hold until the real thing is revealed.

The higher performance version is of course more expensive. However, there are real options for both versions and the road car version has actual options which I don't have pricing for yet, but I have heard of one option and the cost associated was huge even by Ferrari standards. That is what I was commenting about. There are some interesting ideas surrounding the new car and a factory program that I am very excited about and I hope Ferrari follow through, with the more 'hardcore' version. Supposedly the new program is run like the xx program, but the second version of the car is different than previous xx cars in a very interesting way. The street legal mule is turning times that if on slicks would be a 458 Challenge car, I'm hopeful that Ferrari will follow through their ideas on the second version.

There is a series of those renderings which have been circulating for months now - nothing new - and no, not at all "it".

Someone is learning how to play with their 3d modeling software, and doing it at the expense of our eyes. :D

Unfortunately this cannot be unseen. Maybe someone took the F150 and melted it.

I was going to say Gaudi.

It's almost as good looking as the Mitsuoka-Orochi.
