    This was gifted to me half as a gag but knowing I will try it.
    "Royal Haggis" the tin says, made with wild venison.
    How should this be served?
    Is the tinned version worth serving?

    IMO, the real version shouldn't be served, let alone a canned version. Had it years ago and it's awful!

    Haggis can be poached or steamed- that is the traditional method. In Scotland today you will see people sauteing it, or even bread and deep fry it.

    Its not bad & I like haggis. i think the real traition is to douse it ona hot plate with wisky and set it ablaze and serve with the flaming wisky and some butter. Not bad but it does add to the calories.

    I don't see all the haggis hate.

    I had a haggis & lutefisk restaurant, but only had like 7 customers in 6 months. I closed it down and lost a lot of money because people just don't like fine dining.
