My car still has the plastic on the carpet between the seats. It's impossible to get out without removing the seats or at least tilting them forward to grab the plastic.

I see the bolt on the back of the seat, Where's the front bolt located at?

    Thanks,

How to remove seats DIY (yes, sort of joking)

    1. Put seat all the way forward. This will expose rear two bolts. Remove them.
    2. Put seat all the way back. This will expose front mount legs.
    3. Remove carpet in front of seat (you will need the clearance to reinsert the clip).
    4. Insert flat head screwdriver in cosmetic plastic clip (image)
    5. Slide plastic clip toward front of car.
    6. Front 2x bolts should now be visible, remove them.
    7. Rock seat forward or back enough to disconnect wiring harness
    8. Remove seat. Its heavier than it looks, I recommend using two people as not to risk "bumping" candy covered surfaces.
    9. Assembly is the reverse of this procedure.
    10. Clean carpets, wow it looks bad this close up.

The instructions and photos above are great. In case you have the electric seats (we all have the seat belt electrical connection) here is the shop manual version. Taz provided to me and I used it to great effect in adjusting the seat in my Scud. Thank you Taz.

    Trent,

Thanks for the great instructions on the seat removal. I saw the bolts in the rear, but, was unsure how to access the front bolts. And I bet the seats are heavy. I'll probably just move them around and take the plastic out. I know a bump here and there when removing the seats can cause more damage than one realizes.

Dan, John, Trent- Good news is that the early F430 WSM I have is now on ferraridatabase.com and you can all download it for free. There are some sections "in preparation", but it still has all kinds of good stuff you can use.

For 360 owners, same is true and there are 360 and 360 Spider WSMs and other tech data on the same site. Only difference in the 360 manuals is the top section.

Ben Deetman, the man who owns the site, is doing a huge service to the Ferrari community. So if you have anything he does not, send it to him.
