Alex is sending me more pics Pn Monday. But anyone have any info on the red spider with black interior at Daytona. Not sure what year, options, or history it has except that it is originally a Canadian Car. I know I'll get the info on Monday. I am just being impatient :)[IMG]

You trading in the 355 for it ?

    Might be a good move.

If Daytona is selling it, you can be pretty much be sure it will be a good car. They refuse to sell junk. You may pay a bit more, but it's well worth it.

No. I am keeping the 355. I love that car I just wanted to also get something more recent in a 6 speed. So that would have to be he 430.

I figure being two generations apart it should feel different enough.

I trust Daytona. I know it will be a well checked out car. That's why I am considering it. I would not buy from anyone else. They are great.

I was posting this simply to see if anyone knew it and knew the details of it being it is a Canadian car.

I still have to figure out if I can afford to do this as well. But the 355 is a keeper. I am never selling that one :)

Interesting take Rorie , not sure you will get the pleasure per $$ kick in the 430 from your 355.

The models Maybe too similar (imo) ,if you were looking for a second car, a front engine might offer a different Ferrari feel, or perhaps something old school with a carb ? I see the trade up to newer car, but having a second Ferrari that is faster than what you currently have I see the cars being too similar.

Might be a good idea to get some seat time in the f430 and see if it gives you the pleasure you require for the $$$s invested.

Good luck on your hunt, would be great to hear your feedback between both cars on what you find appealing , and the improvements, and what difference you find in the 355 that the 430 doesn't provide.

Sounds like an exciting few weeks, enjoy it !

Thanks for the advice. I had asked Alex at Daytona this, and he thought the F430 would be different enough to be worth it. But plan B is to look at a 599 6 speed. I love the look of the 599.

I will be speaking to Alex tomorrow, and run all this by him again. I can learn more about the car and the options and then I need to simply sit down and see if I can do it this year, or do I need to wait til next year. Wife wants an addition on the house this spring. Need to see what that will cost before I can pull the trigger on another Ferrari.

The 355 and 430 are as different as night and day. You wont be able to say that one is better than the other simply because they are so different.

it will be different alright...there is an absolutely massive performance difference between the two models...think of it like this, how does your 355 make a 308 QV feel ?

that's how different it will feel...huge.

There is a big difference between a 360 and a 430. If you can keep both , your 355 2.7 and buy a 430 . You will have to amazing cars.
    Best of luck.

It's a 2006 430 Spider with Interior and Engine Carboin Fibre Packages on it. It has 20,000 K. I just need to figure out now if I can afford to do this at the moment, and I guess B is will the wife let me do it. I had a hard enough time buying the 355. She was in my 355 once. We went for a short drive, she got out, and said "I don't get it......" She was not impressed. She's never been in it since :)

This summer, when shes going out for coffee or something, throw her the keys and say, "Have fun and I'll see you later"

Hopefully that will smarten her up : )

First rule of selling , know your audience , and sell into thier need, NOT your need

I think Rorie would have a tough time driving either the 355 or 430 in those shoes.:)

Frank, I will weat high heels if you do.

BTW, what's up with your car. Did it all get fixed to your satisfaction?
