That's my old car. I bought it from the snakes at Scottsdale Ferrari who never disclosed the damage. After a lot of complaining, they finally bought the car back from me at a significant loss (to me). The dealership then tried to resell the car on eBay a few more times--again not disclosing the ~$40k in damage even though there was a 100% chance that they had the info as I faxed it to them for proof. They then sold it at auction to a dealership in Hawaii again not disclosing the damage. I called the dealership in Hawaii to let them know--the guy was pissed yet continued to sell it on his website without disclosing the damage. The car is actually not bad looking and the work was done well--I just think the person purchasing should have the right to decide if that's what he or she wants. FWIW they bought the car back from me for $130k and sold it at auction for about the same price.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. That is why this forum is so important to people like me who are new to Ferrari and the Challenge Stradale. The car is now being sold by Blackhorse in Florida for $165 thousand. I had a friend go look at the car and he was told the car has no damage or paint work. When he confronted them about the 2 past accidents they said they would look into it and he was told that some of the information on this forum and challenge-stradale.com is 3rd party talk, not real evidence and often false.

I can't pass judgement because I wasn't there (blackhorse if your listening ,3rd party information), but maybe blackhorse doesn't know the car has a bad past history and they too have been taken on the wild ride of this car. After all, the carfax report is clean. Goes to prove, carfax is just a guide and not conclusive.

Yep, same story from Scottsdale Ferrari. Dealerships hate forums in this scenario because if there was no Internet that car would sell for $165k. I actually found out about the damage through this forum and made sure I checked with Stokpro before I purchased the next one a year or so later. I won't be making that mistake again--I just hope the same thing doesn't happen to someone else. But at the end of the day if this is our biggest problem we are probably doing ok. BTW, the damage history is well documented and was fixed through a factory authorized dealership's body shop.

Does a Bear sh*t in the woods? :) Yes, I know a great deal on one. Surprised that none of the other 3 guys that inquired on the same nero/nero CS haven't pulled the trigger.

    Call & ask =)

An engine replacement was involved. I had inquired about this one a year ago. But as stokpro pointed out, a few years down the road that "mark" will probably be inconsequential.

Is it difficult and expensive to purchase a car in Canada and have it shipped to the US?

Give them a call? I wouldn't be surprised if a deal is already being inked given the number of PM's I've received on this car.
