Was it actually "lowered", or, has the suspension settled over the years? In many other Countachs, the latter is the case.

Speaking of LP400, the family of Albert Silvera told me that when their dad arrived to pick up his new LP400 Speciale (1120056), Ferruccio was downstairs in the delivery area fully dressed in suit as usual, polishing the car!!

This pic of Ferruccio working on the 350 GTV's front hood validates that story.

Yes, Steve lowered the front end to give it the low body stance...

Great looking car but i always thought it was an S1. The larger (tall) body with the
smallest engine is just not my favorite idea though. I think Geno that your DD will
work out just fine for you.

One cold saturday night of winter you say to your wife: "Honey, let's have a trip with my fantastic "better than new" fully restored classic Lambo and have a dinner in an expensive restaurant".

Then you take out your fantastic looking car and just after two miles the car stops with fuel pump gone, one of the very few pieces you did not change...

Waiting for the rescue truck on saturday night aside a country road definitely is a "must have" picture...

    ciao

Oh no! Such a terrible feeling.
I think we have all been in that position at one time or another.

Has anyone NEVER broke down on the side of the road in their Countach or old Lambo? Regardless if you fixed it there or towed it.

It was my first time: another time the wiper flew away under a storm (on the motorway at night, of course...) and i had to find it and reinstall on the car under the rain, but that time rescue truck was not necessary.

This time it was impossible to fix the car along the road so i called the rescue truck. It was amusing as we were very close to home and it was not too late so we were able to take a less fantastic and not classic but very reliable Mercedes and have a dinner at restaurant.

My wife enjoyed a lot that fail as she told me "next time do not bother me anymore with that old scrap, enjoy that wreckage alone..." I hate my wife... :)

Speaking of wiper arms..... I had the Countach out at our local track this past weekend doing 5 "lead-follow" laps. We had to stay in line, no passing, etc.. At least I was last in line, so I could hang back at times and then really take off... Anyhow, on one of my laps, coming down the front stretch I wanted to see how fast I could go before I had to brake. I hit 110mph, but the wiper arm was lifting off the windshield at that speed!! LOL!!!!

Anyhow, nothing really exciting in this video that I shot with my Go-Pro, but at least some of the sounds are really nice. I wish I could have really opened it up and do some runs like Raymond has done at various tracks! Oh well.... one day....

that was a very nice day with my first ride in a Lamob and many nice pics in beautiful scenery :)
    Anything planned for 2013 yet?

BTW, I'll see at least 3 Countach in a private collection in the next couple of weeks :)

I'm guessing her outfit did not match the Mercedes? Lol, she seems to ride with you a lot, my guess is she secretly enjoys it.

Thank you for sharing that vid Mike.

What is the name of the interior color on that white DD? I don't recall seeing it often, maybe the same as the 25th in Japan that sits in the living room?

Thanks for sharing the video, Mike!

    ciao

Yes, i think she SOMETIMES likes to do a trip on the black scrap as a trip on a Countach is always an exciting adventure, nothing is easy on that car and her help at crossings and at parking is always welcome, so she feels to be important and useful and not just a passenger.

    ciao

    That's a road suited to a Lambo tractor! :)
