I am looking at getting a 08 scuderia (red) and it does NOT have the OEM stripe. Has anyone added the stripe on their scud aftermarket ???

I would assume that the stripe would be under the clear bra. So therefore the existing clear bra will have to be removed and then the new decal stripe added and then the clear bra.

    thoughts ???

It's all up to you. Yes. The clear bra needs to be removed in order to do a proper job but who's to say you can't have the stripe put on the clear bra? I've seen some companies print the scud stripe on a thin film (almost close to skin thin), layer it on then clear coat the entire bonnet. The result was an almost paint like stripe as opposed to thick decals that pop.

Most of our Stripes finish up on the original models.
The quality of ours is such, that you can't distinguish it from a factory original until you run your fingers over it.
However, if you are fitting a Stripe and a clear bra, here is some advice.
First, let me explain what happens if you apply a clear bra over the top of the Stripe.
Even though the Stripe is only a few microns thick, when you put the clear bra over the top, the clear won't adhere perfectly over the edge of the Stripe and because it's clear you will see the ridge and the very small air gap through the clear material, this will be quite noticeable.
However, when you put the Stripe on top of the clear bra, even if you only do half the hood, there is only a small transition point where the Stripe goes from the bra to the paint and because the Stripe is not transparent its very hard to see. If you do all of the hood in clear you wont see it at all, which is what we recommend.
If you are going to drive the car, the bra and the Stripe will get damaged in time. There is also a high gloss clear coat on the Stripe, it's thinner but fairly tough like the bra, but it's not bullet proof.
You'll probably find, that if the Stripe is put on professionally, you won't be able to get it off without damaging the bra.
At some point you may have to replace both, that's why we supply the spare.
To sum up, put the bra on first then put on the Stripe.
    Ciao

    Hi Edward,
I've sent you a PM, all the details are on our website.
Even though the factory 16M Stripe was for a Spider, our kit is for a Coupe and comes with a spare front segment like the others.
As a matter of fact, if you are putting it on a Spider, you've got enough left over to do another Spider. :)

Not much good showing you photos on a 430, but here are some on 360s.
The photos of the Rosso 360 are from a Japanese customer, he finished the back like a CS Stripe, probably because the wing would have obscured the way a Scuderia Stripe is normally finished, on top of the engine lid.
The way the color of the Scuderia Stripe appears is very subjective to the color of the car and the lighting, in all these pictures it's the exact same Scuderia Stripe.
The most striking, is the difference between the Grigio Nurburgring and the Grigio Silverstone.

Does anyone know if 360performance stripe has the black and silver on the same plain. So if you ran your finger across it there would not be any thickness difference.

    Hi Robert,
Ours is digitally printed like the factory Stripe, not layered. However, even though our Scuderia Stripe is a mylar only a couple of microns thick, you can feel the outside edge. Although, with the high gloss clear finish, it's impossible to pick it from the factory Stripe until you run your fingers over the edge. Most of our Stripes finish up on the cars that left the factory without the Stripe option.

Brenden, thanks for a great answer. You anticipated and answered up all of my questions in one posting. I like the idea and product. :) Inexpensive way to get a "whole new look" on my F430.

although more expensive than some of the other stripe options out there, I do like the idea of how thin this product is compared with the layering technique used by others.

    Hi Robert,
I don't know if I ever thanked you for that wonderful recommendation, with this "Many Thanks".:) :) :)
Ten years on and we're still going strong and I believe we still have the best product on the market.
We have added to our product range since then and we are able to supply the other Stripes as well.
As you can see, they look great on any model, including my 308GT4 historic race car, although most of our Stripes finish up on the correct models that left the factory without one.
