If anyone can give me a heads up on this car before i go any further with it, it would be appreciated. What I know so far is that the belts are due next year and the tires are original (very hard) and need to be replaced. Also stock exhaust. Universal Autosports | 2004 Ferrari 360 F1 Spider Thank You.
I paid $100k for my 04 spider. Challenge grills, manual daytonas, 6speed, shields, 12k miles in mint condition sans one tiny rock chip on the boot cover. I felt it was a high but fair price, and it was a dealer certified pre-owned so I anticipated a premium. I'd try and talk them down a hint but if the condition is mint... I'd consider it if you live it
I think I saw that one in the showroom a few months back. If it's the same one, it looked like it was in very nice shape! FYI, spoke to the guys in the shop area, and they were really nice guys, and VERY helpful.
Given the aparse info - I would put this car at $95 - 100K if everything else checks out (keys, fobs, carfax, books, tools, pouches, etc etc etc.) Colors and lack of Daytona seats drop value from the top of the heap ($105 - 110K)
It's snowing in NY, that will affect the price of a Spider. They will have to carry it til spring. But then again, cost of money is nil these days.
Looks like i may have found a nice one. Red and tan, mileage is a little more than i preferred but after all, i am buying it to drive it. Will see it tomorrow (weather pending), but if any one has any particular info please advise. I seem to recall this car being for sale for a very long time. You may be able to infer your own conclusion about the seller's position on price. When I say long time, I mean greater than 6 months. Certainly let us know what you find if you do go and see it in person. Thanks.
The AWD option is quite rare and may fetch a premium. Seriously; 1. Wheels are a -1 unless you like them. 2. Tires look too tall, check for correct size tires of you look at it. Could be an illusion. 3. Considering the weather / season, 90-95k. 4. Get a PPI if at all possible. Good luck
I remember this ad! The pictures they posted are flat out retarded. Be cautious... I'm not sure I would waste my time going to see this one...
yea, who ever put this ad together should not sell cars. I'll mention the AWD when i go see it tomorrow. Definitely PPI if it goes that far. Thanks
Only reason i'm wasting my time with this one is that it's on my way to my destination tomorrow, and if the car passes my inspection i can have Ferrari Of LI pull a full service history on the car, and if it passes that then PPI. If not then the search continues.
I do like the modular wheels better that the five star, but i would prob throw a set of aftermarket wheels on. I'll make sure to check the tire size. Thanks
Update. I would this car at the lower end of it's market value as far as i am concerned. Red/Tan 14k miles, Daytonas, modular wheels, chalenge grills, optional stereo. Many chips some minor surface scratches. On a scale from one to 10 i would give it a 7-7.5 It may have had paint work. I felt some rough surfaces. One under the driver air scoop and on the side rear where the upper and bottom panels meet. the tires are michelin pilot sports and the rears are dated 2003 and the fronts 2002. Not sure if this is what the car came with, probably not, because they have plenty of life left. However they need to be replaced as they are hard as a rock. Interior looks used. Plus for the car are service records from approximately 1,000 miles ago showing major service from Ferrari of Long Island totalling about 8 G's. Overall i did not get a good feeling about the car so the search continues.
