At the beggining I was contacted by the Lamborghini Club France as I'm member for finding a red Countach in my region for a film, the production not mentionned that they needed an S it's only when Alexandre Aster saw the car that he asked if it is possible to change for A S type rear and it was to late for finding an other car. Also it's not easy to find owners who let their car for a Film production, for my friend the owner of the car and me the condition is that we have to be present when the car was used, also there was some change with the production at the beggining we need only to be in the french region near Switzerland, but at the end we have to move to Paris for some view...It's not a simple job

    Joe,
In reference to the sport seats on a USA Anniversary, I remember in an earlier thread you said the only one you knew of was Joe Nastasi's red interior example. Their is a white countach anniversary with red sport seats available for sale at Gullwing Motors. Could this be Nastasi's old countach? If it is, it is in need of much love.

Yes, I have been involved in organizing events where particular models are required and it is not always easy getting owners to make them available.

I saw the movie. Adjani is older but still beautifully plays the abnoxous women she did from her younger time with a great movie with Souchon in l'ete meurtier, A masterpiece IMO, where a Delahaye appeared in the movie. I would lend my car in a blink if I would be guaranteed to be at a dinner party the lady attends and give her a drive..

The ex-Nastasi 12039 in fact has a tan interior piped in red as below (the red sport seat I posted was for illustrative purposes because it really shows the shape of the seat).

The white/red car at Gullwing motors is a car I am unfamiliar with, so I can't really comment about its condition or state, but, from pictures I would submit that it obviously needs TLC. To my eye, the seats in that car appear to be sports seats which have had their centers (inserts) reupholstered with extra padding.

Here is a pic of an earlier Countach (in this case an LP500S) which has had 25th sport seats fitted. I'm also aware of a black/black 88.5 car in France with this application.

No wonder 25th sports seats are hard to find!

That being said, us taller guys prefer the 2-peice seats because you get more space in the cabin.

Loving all these unique colors. Did they do any 25ths in gold, or copper?

Joe, By "French -spec" does this mean that is a DOT regulation there?or was this a custom Lamborghini trade mark for 25 th's going to that area?

Peter, besides the yellow lenses (all 4 headlamp lenses and 2 driving lamps) there are some minor things like fuel stickers (below) and such. I'd be interested to learn myself if there was more to the French-supplied cars than that.

As I pointed out above I think all the illuminating lenses for French 25ths are yellow. I can't tell if this was done in production and the cars were supplied like that, or if it was done by the French concessionaire when new, ready for road-registration.

    Joe,

The French D.O.T Rules of the time required all new cars sold in France to have the yellow headlight/driving light lenses... This requirement was subsequently rescinded I understand.

Not sure about Lamborghini but all the Ferrari parts manuals of the time show the yellow lenses as seperate part #,with note "French market only".....new Ferrari's of the time delivered to France were fitted at the factory with said "yellow lenses".

I would guess that Lamborghini operated the same way and they were factory fitted rather than done at "dealer/importer" level???

    Excellent info.

Besides the USA, France was a major market for 25ths along with the UK, Italy & Germany. Many remain in France. In Rosso Siviglia!

I understand that the Monaco D.O.T regulations were identical to those of the French and so cars delivered there were identical.....at least in the case of Ferrari's!

    Again......can't see Lamborghini being different?

Given Monaco's proximity to France this is most understandable!!!!

Missed your post - I have heard of the Al Sabah family in Kuwait having a gold 25th, but I have not seen it or pics of it.

What still amazes me is how this awesome variant has been so overlooked, based on nothing more that following popular consensus. Once-upon-a-time all Countachs were overlooked by collectors of other cars because of similar thinking.

Anyway, here is another interesting car, a USA car, UK-registered G 415 EJH, living in Madrid, Spain!

The Devil's number... less than 1,000 miles on the clock.

The leather dash on the 25th will pull if the car is left in the sun too often, and it is caused by shrinkage of the black leather top. This can be rectified of course simply by taking the dash out & tending to it.
