Additional bidders will continue to drive up the price. A buyer can locate a nice original problem free 91-92 car for approx 75K.

Lamborghini parts are not inexpensive. With an experienced exotic mechanic, it would be a large task to financially break even. This includes buying the donor car for a cheap price.

 

Why did he not post any interior photos?

Car pictured has a motor
Location of photos make it look like the car is drivable.
Condition of car for sale is not the condition in the photos.

Anyone interested needs to ask for current photos of the car as of today.

Must look at this one before making a purchase. I don't know the car, but know enough not to buy a Lambo like this, especially sight unseen. Could be a NIGHTMARE. JMHO

He answers most of these questions in the add Q&A section at the bottom. Sounds legit. He says any serious buyer can go to the shop that is holding it and take a look in person.

A agree though that this could be no "deal" at just about any price. If you know Diablos could be worth it though.

Chatsworth California is a pretty small area within the San Fernando Valley. I used to have an office there. Purely speculation, but my hunch is that this car is currently being stored at Fusion Motorsports.

Why talk of swap? Take your time and put a Diablo motor in it otherwise it is barely a Lamborghini.

 

At times, a nice 91-92 (problem-free) car can be found for 75K.

 

From reading the eBay auction, the seller seems determined on selling without motor & trans... which is very, very odd. My only guess is that he owes the shop some big money, and they worked out a deal to keep the powertrain as payment. Installing it would only add to his tab, and make the car easier to slip out of the shop. Just a guess of course...

 

I'd want to hear the story from the shop owner's perspective. It might be quite a different tale.
