Looks like the 4-valve heads have been remade! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have more pictures and prices but am not sure if I am allowed to post that here. I am not selling or connected in any way with these reproduction heads. Just thought it was cool someone finally finished this project. Have heard many stories of these being remade but this is the first I've seen of the finished product.
Be interested in knowing the HP advantage "If Any" gained by the dual spark plug configeration?!....Mark

Sort of confused here...are we talking 4 valve heads and one plug per cylinder or two valve heads and two plugs per cylinder? Perhaps I am confusing two diff pictures. I would be interested in knowing more about the four valves per cylinder and seeing a shot of the underneath as well. What's with the lancia signature? Thanks
I think the Lancia Stratos 4-valve heads were Ferrari Tasman heads. I have seen the Lancia name on the cam cover on the homologation papers but most of the heads I have seen say Dino on the cover. Here is a Google web album link to a few more pictures: https://picasaweb.google.com/112462699844737386797/Stratos4ValveHeads?authkey=Gv1sRgCLShjcWNnJ3gWA
Funny/strange, but I just PM'd Pantdino about his 246 because I noticed in a photo of his car that his engine deck lid rises about 3 or 4 inches higher above the engine, and I thought he might have had Stratos heads with the Stratos carbs. Anyway, he just PM'd me the other day that one big advantage for his set up is that there is no fuel starvation in left hand turns. I do not know if he has the 4-valve heads too. PLEASE - Pantdino needs to post some photos and info ASAP!!
Inlet manifoolds available from omicron engineering in the UK; the 4 valve heads are available in Italy, I will try and dig out the contact. I have used omicron (for a classic alfa) but not the Italian guy. My understand was that the 2v engine was much more reliable than the 4 valve and the additional power vs complecity meant they rallied mainly 2v versions. Lots of posts on a couple of member cars with the mods if you search this section. Some great photos too. R
The weak point on the 4-valve heads was mainly the timing chain but it wasn't a chronic problem. They stopped using the 4-valve heads because the racing authorities outlawed them.
