Jacques Bologni was the period importer for the 25th Anniversary, before him Edmond Ciclet was assuring the distribution without official label since Thepenier, previous official importer.

All cars coming from Italy were already fitted with yellow lenses.

    Joe,

as you know many years ago....once upon a time.... the anniversary was considered THE coolest countach of them all and was more expensive than all other earlier cars

then things changed and now every collector is looking for a nice LP400... may be some for a later S to QV car but anniversary is usually out
...but things are always changing so one day they could be fashionable again

to most the issue with the anniversario is the look...it is so different from all the other cars that it is almost a different model.

some guys that only love the anniverary and some are on the "young side" so there is hope for this final, much refined countach to be sought after in the future

All true. I do remember when it was the king of Countachs, the latest & the greatest, an acquaintance gave an LP400 plus a LOT of cash for one in 1989.

I agree the looks are very flamboyant and controversial. Thats actually one of the things I like about it. I find the looks to be super-aggressive. Hey, maybe I'm getting younger! But I do think there is a certain amount of "follow-the-crowd" mentality with people overlooking it and passing on it. The same mentality that existed in the 80s and early 90s when most car-collectors thought all Countachs were unreliable kit-cars simply because some journalists disparaged them. Now all Countachs are considered serious driving cars throughout the classic car world simply because some people decided to buck popular consensus. When people set aside popular consensus and do some thinking of their own, they often come to a conclusion that surprises even themselves.

And remember this too: History has a habit of repeating itself...

Meanwhile, its all fun-&-games at Sant Agata with 12085 on the AutoEmotionen TV shoot.

So joe... How many of these anni cars do you have in your inventory? Is this thread simply a way to get prices to rise on this model, so you can increase your profit margins?

I get you like the cars, but it's seems in some posts your pushing the point home a little too hard.

    Thanks for clarifying, Olivier.

I noticed that the Museo 12085 had the yellow Hellas for a period (likely when it was in France for promo purposes?)

Thank you, I thought the building behind looked familiar!

I will dig up that image of Gerhard Berger collecting 12818 at Sant Agata. There was a Japanese F1 driver there the same day too, also collecting his new 25th Anniversary Countach (can't remember who), and I have him in a separate image. What's interesting is that Berger drove for the Ferrari F1 team at the time, and his Ferrari team-mate Nigel Mansell got an F40.

Meanwhile this is my favorite Gerhard Berger image.

Glad you can see my post for nothing more than an accurate observation.

Another one of 12818, the ex-F1 driver's car

When posting slightly off topic F1 cars, let's show them ALL then :)

    Venturi LC92 and Larrousse LH93

and yes, there were the Lola Larrousse LC88D test version, LC88E 1st race version, JS35, M192 and the McLaren test car too.

    Joe's 2nd post is showing the Lotus 102, Larrousse LC90, Minardi M191, Ligier JS35B, Larrousse LC89, Minardi.
1st post shows the Modena 291 (Lambo 010) and the Ligier JS35B

Senna is probably telling him: " i will slow down at the last lap and let you win one race". ;)

p.s. Beger was not lucky to be Senna team mate then.... very hard to fight with him with the same car. This said Gerhard was 100 times more funny than Senna, it was great to listen to his interview and a good guy!
it does not surprise me one bit he owned a couple countach at the time :)

    You made me laugh :)

Berger is probably thinking: "Is this guy BS-ing me?"
