    The roads less travelled are great at those speeds as well, but it's Falcodores you have to look out for, so I'm told.

    As most of you know, I have an electric scooter. (below)

    Anyway, even though I bought it new, the batteries were never as good as the claim, so I decided to convert from the NiMh batteries to Li. Not only have I saved 30kg in weight, the range has increased from 40km to approx 120km. I say approx 120km because that's how far I rode, and the batteries weren't flat yet.

    I'm pretty happy about this.

    That dash design is not good.

    Also, that front bumper is a little too busy for the style of car. Complete with Nike swoosh.

    I guess that scooters don't fly at 40 000 feet. I'm sure that you've done the homework, but LiPo's can be pretty dangerous - is that what Hybrid cars use?

    Did you change the charging system for the batteries in any way? Charging (and mechanical damage) seems to be what causes the problems.

    It's essential that they don't overcharge otherwise BANG!

    Didn't need to change anything with the charging system in this particular case.

    I think the all electric cars use Li, but Prius still uses NiMh until they release their plug in version soon.

    Overstyled bumpers are a cheap way to redefine and obscure the humble reality of what the car actually is.

    The Lexus IS is a Toyota Corona in Japan (although its been called a "Mark II" for some years) and will wear a suitably boring front and rear bumper for the home market.

    Had to put all 3 cars in the garage for the first time due to the coming possible tornados :rolleyes:

    It's absolutely bucketing down here (no possibility of flooding as we are on the water) and the wind is doing it's best to push the trees over .... had to put all the outdoor furniture indoors as it was moving across the deck (this is heavy redwood !! )

    hi Simon, how did you guys fair this time ?

    Last time I experienced winds this strong I was living in Ipswich with my first wife 30 years ago, knocked down quite a few houses

    Bundy seems to have copped it a few times with tornados
