Guys, we've gone through this before. Aston has to build certain nos of cars to reduce their carbon tax or something like this otherwise, V12s will soon be dinosaurs so this is their "sneaky" way of getting around the problem.

The coe & vehicle taxation is Uniquely Singapore!

I would consider the XJ220 and Lotus Carlton "fast" for their time, perhaps even now. But Astons in my mind aren't for people who want the fastest cars. Aston Martins are bought with the heart.

If you ask me .. I wouldn't be able to choose if I would go for a DBS or a F430 now.

Was having supper in Bangsar yesterday and a Vantage zoomed by. That sound .. brings chill to my spine .. Aston's produce better exhaust note. Hands down ... Too bad it isn't fast ..

Yes, heard a Vantage with a very loud & rather nice exhaust zooming pass the Esplanade bridge before. It was rather quick, don't know how they fare against 430 but I would take a DBS anyday simply cos I've tasted some Ferraris and none Astons.

Anyway, in the real world we only use about 50% of what our modern sports car deliver ^^

It's the same in most countries except probably UK. I've asked around & dealers cringed the moment you hint about trading a modern day Aston Martin.

If not for the Bond name, the brand might have gone under like MG & the British motoring industry. That said Jaguar & Rover are enjoying brisk sales @ the moment.
