I can't get to specific publicly, but I can say this: This second version is something that ALL Ferrari fans have been wanting from Ferrari for many years, it represents more than a car.

Sorry... not technological simplicity. Design simplicity, lacking the flourishes of Ferrari and the drama (excesses?) of McLaren.

I say something in the likes, I see the basic design being close to a LMP1/Daytona Prototype.
That's just my take on it and my imagination working.

more than a car? could this second version be a track-only car with a current 8 cylinder engine from their f1 cars (also including kers)? because we all know 2014 f1 will switch to 6 cylinder turbo engines. this would be a hell of a version...

That would explain the "inspired by the 250 lm" as in a different way than just the looks

I don't think that Ferrari is interested in Le Mans.

On the subject of the F70, I have heard a rumour from a quite reliable source of a movable rear wing with a DRS function.

Judging by all the patents they submitted last August on this matter, it wouldn't be surprising

That would be great. In order to beat the ugly P1 on the track, the F70 needs to generate an equal amount of downforce.

They don't need to carry the production's car engine, so F1 derived V6 could be.
